Опис
What Is This?

A mod that converts Resistance Faction Soldiers into RPGO's Universal Soldiers, still recruitable by covert action, and adds three new Faction Hero based Specializations, The Defector Specialization, The Assassin Specialization, and The Crusader Specialization.

Additionally, converts the basegame Faction Soldier Requirement for Covert Actions into a Universal Soldier requirement, so that Faction Soldiers are not required to crew significant Covert Actions, such as Hunting The Chosen.

Why Is This?

Because having noticed the woes of some people who dislike the fact that Resistance Heroes were handled differently than Universal Soldiers in RPGO, I decided to make a nice and friendly mod, for once.

Compatibility

Technicalities of Compatibility with Resistance Hero Class Overhauls is extreme quirky and will require significant configuration, and may or may not work entirely. Otherwise, compatible with most things. Do Not Install Mid Campaign.

I wish they had all their skills available by using two or three ability lines instead of one. You'd still need to invest twice or thrice more to get everything so it wouldn't be unbalanced.

@Aether It makes them into not-really-faction heroes anymore. It turns them into more standardized units for RPGO.

So this mod makes the faction heroes weaker? For example my reapers don't get shadow anymore.

@ReshiKillim thank you for answering, will uninstalling the mod fix this issue? and is it possible to modify the mod files to make it possible to enable the mod mid game? if yes I will look into the files myself.

@CuteSkull The midcampaign install of the plugin is the problem, this mod makes some significant changes to the Faction units, and trying to convert the units mid-campaign will break them.

Subscribing to this made reapers in my ongoing campaign go nuts, not I cant equip them with anything, also I cant make them learn any abilities. anyone know what could be wrong and how to fix it?

I would like to use this, If it didn't remove the Skirmishers from being edited in the Character Pool

It doesn't seem to work when using the random classes second wave option, the class has all trees even with the option active

@溯昔言 Technically no, they can be configured in if you wish, but they are not accessible by default. Functionally, this mod creates new Specializations based on the Faction Heroes, and converts Faction Heroes into Universal Soldiers that function mostly identically to standard RPGO Soldiers.
