It shows that you can change the difficulty settings from the new game screen, but the game goes back to default medium settings when the scenario actually starts regardless of what you set them to and cannot be reset in the save game menu.

I just tested this and was able to change the difficulty settings just fine from the new game screen as expected. No issues there.

I'll even explain it for you:
Find the scenario folder in your steam workshop folder, somewhere in here:
InstalledDrive:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\UserNumber\2997884097
Delete the gameoptions.yaml file or edit it and set the settings you want.

So replace the gameoptions with your own gameoptions.
I don't have this issue, I can adjust all of the settings in the game menu, so you can blame me all you want but it must be on your end.

what crash52 mean is: You have fortified in your scenario the game settings. He was not able to setup another constructor speed than you have fortified. Also the other settings. He can't choose any of this, cause you have fortified it. I don't subscribe any scenarios where I can't setup my own play-style: easy, but with drones on high, with cpu and volume on and constructor Speed instant. I don't want to wait 48 hours to build my capital vessel... Your other scenarios has also this "problem".

It's on your end, it isn't the scenario.

Don't know what to tell you either. I've verified files, unsubscribed this scenario, re-subscribed to it, re-verified files again, and still stuck on medium settings. I might could live with some of them, but not the normal constructor speed. Gonna have to unsubscribe from this. Sorry.

Don't know what to tell you. All I did was delete the contents of the PDA file.
Nothing else was changed.

I've got over 700 hours in this game, I'm subscribed to about 8 different workshops. I always play with Hard start (minimum starting equipment) and instant constructor speed, among others. At initial game setup, or at Load Game, I change Difficulty settings, back out of screen and when I go back in they're reset to the medium settings. And after you start a game you CAN change those settings. I've often changed say constructor speed or Check Limits various times in a game.

I tested it and I have no issues on my end. I can change the difficulty settings from the scenario start screen in-game.
After you start a game, you can no longer change those settings. Are you looking at the load screen or something?
