Convoys and caravans are great in the early game and mid-game, but they become pointless in the late game.

Not because the concept of swapping goods is unnecessary, but because the amounts you can swap are minimal compared to what you generate on your own.

Enter: "Useful late game Convoys and Caravans."

Now your Cathay Caravan Masters and Chaos Dwarf Overseers will have access to a skill that massively increases the amount of cargo they can haul - if you can keep them alive long enough to get it.

The higher levels required for the skills ensure the unlocks won't come too early - when they might be overpowered - and they encourage you to run new Caravan Masters and Overseers even for small amount in order to rank them up to run the large amounts. The skill itself can be found directly next to the last skill in the lowest section of the Overseer and Caravan Master skill section (right next to their normal cargo capacity enhancement skill).

Like all GOW LIKE A BOSS mods, this mod has been cleaned to avoid any unnecessary files or lines in the tables in order to minimize conflict with other mods.

This mod can be added safely, but cannot be guaranteed to be safe to remove. I haven't tested it, so it could be safe to remove, but I wouldn't count on it.

Update: Mod has been fixed and is now functional again.

It does not, but the mod's tables would be relatively easy for someone with the inclination to expand it to those other mods. It's largely just a matter of copying what's already in the mod several times, and replacing the entries for Overseer and Caravan Master with whatever unit those mods use.

More time consuming than difficult, if you could find someone willing to do it (or if you have basic mod creation skills and wanted to do it yourself).

I'm fairly certain I know the answer to this is a solid no, but thought I should ask to clarify!

Does this skill get added onto any other modded Caravans/Convoys/Lizard Expeditions?

Honestly I feel that what caravans need the most to stay relevant is having red line/buff skills that apply to other faction's units. It's a cool concept that you can get other factions units but they end up performing a lot worse due to lack of buffs. This, combined with the fact you can't get mages in your caravans makes them very weak to any attack by a non-event army. The ability to recruit a mage to caravans would also be awesome, but at least skills that buff other faction's units as well as a couple bound spells would lessen the change of them always getting sniped mid game.

Hmm. That's unfortunate if that happened. I will check it on my end when I have a few minutes and see if it isn't working for me either. That might be a pain to fix.

Only a recruit units for caravan mod, One thing I noticed for 4.0 is a lot of mods that added new skills were broken and had to be updated

Are you using any other caravan mods? And have you tried putting this mod at the top of your steam load order?

I think the skill is broken cause it hasn't been showing for me to put points in
