That's right, Reigen Arataka, from Mob Psycho 100 is joining Rivals of Aether!

Reigen is a character with solid normals and tricky but powerful specials making his playstyle unpredictable, just like he behaves in the source material.




In Rivals too, Reigen likes to throw salt everywhere and, this results in salt clouds being created on the battlefield.
The attacks that places salt clouds are:
-ftilt
-nair
-dstrong
-bair (on hit)
-fstrong (on hit)
-fspecial (clone explosion)

Once they are placed, the clouds can be used by Reigen to boost some attacks (fspecial explosion, dash attack, nspecial and upspecial) which will remove the cloud.
They can't be removed otherwise but will dissapear after a short period of time.



NSpecial
A command grab that can be reversed. When boosted, has increased knockback and launches Reigen upwards.

USpecial
A pretty straightforward shoryuken for recovery. When boosted, goes higher, has increased knockback and doesn't have pratfall.

DSpecial
A quick dodge backwards that, when attack cancelled, will give you forward momentum.

FSpecial
As Reigen dashes forward, he leaves behind a clone that you can make explode by pressing the special button again, the twist is that if you press the parry button during the startup of the move, you can make the clone dash and have Reigen staying behind. When the explosion of the clone collides with a salt cloud, this one will explode too with a huge hitbox.



Dash Attack
When boosted, is jumpcancelable at any point.

UTilt
Since it sends Reigen upwards, if you hit the opponent while being in the air, you can hitfall it to kill confirm on bad DI.

DAir
On hit, it makes Reigen bounce upwards, you can choose the direction you'll be facing during it while in hitpause.
