(The 1st Two Parts Of A "4X Game") Senario Edition 8_4 for UPC without the 5X Ultimate Balance Mod.

Introduction: This mod is compiled from most of my other mods. It includes integration of many aspects from other popular mods to avoid Technology Tree conflicts and over-write errors. It doesn't include Battle Scouts or any ability to buy more than one ship at the same time.

Details: This is different from my primary scenario mods (8_0, 8_1, 8_2, and 8_3) in that the Diplomacy attributes, Economy settings, Ship Speed and Tech Tree pricing is determined by the UCP Mod. You can change your ship speed by using one of my Ship Speed Mods; i.e., 11_0, 11_1, 11_2, or 11_3. The Angry Galaxy Mod (13_0) is not included with this mod.

Compatibility:

1. The following mods are required (in this load order):

UCP (WhatIsSol version)
UCP Steam Workshop
8_4 Scenario (this mod)
One of my Ship Speed mods (if you use them)
Angry Galaxy (if you use it).
13_3 Battle Scouts (optional)
99_0 Chippoka Images For Mods (required)

Note: This mod will not work with this popular mod: "All AI + 5X Galaxies with No Wormholes v1.8." However, compatible parts of it were included in this mod, so my Galaxy Boost Mod (00) isn't needed.

NOTE: The Diverse Specials And Massive Planets (DSMP) mod may conflict with this mod if used, as this mod does much the same as DSMP.

IMPORTANT: When using this mod, please disable all my other mods except if noted otherwise (as for my Ship Speed Mods; i.e., 11_0, 11_1, 11_2, or 11_3).

2. This mod will not function directly with the Spud Dasterly's Split Technology Tree. Presently, this mod is not compatible with other mods which adjust the Technology Tree or Ship Blueprints; examples: Vaaish's Tactical Mod and 5X (The Ultimate Balance Mod).

Location - This mod should be located at the end of your mod list. It WILL make changes to the Technology Tree. If you want use any one of my four Ship Speed Mods (11_0, 11_1, 11_2, or 11_3), then place it AFTER this mod; otherwise ship speeds will be set to the basic game default values. If you want to use The Angry Galaxy Mod, then place it after the Ship Speed Mod you chose (if you use one of my other Ship Speed Mods).

This mod does a lot! It will play much differently than you may be used to; it will be a totally new game play experience requiring much more tactical planning at the beginning than in the normal game.

Summary Of What This Mod Does:

00. The game can accommodate up to 13 A.I. players (races) in some instances.

01. Some of the older items deleted from the Tech Tree by the 5X Balance Mod were restored for discovery.

02. Three new planet sizes are added: Massive, Gigantic, Colossal.

03. There are fewer nebula during battles.

04. The Galaxy generator now produces galaxies which are more realistic in age and planet density.

05. There are no black holes.

06. There are lots of additional planetary specials as seen in other popular mods (from where these were adapted).

07. Larger ships require lots of command points; this increase tactics and reduces huge armies; preventing smaller ships from being too useless.

08. Scouts have their own unique engines for fast travel.

09. A new Booster Engine was added (Special Slot) for all ships.

10. Advanced Colony Ships have several new engines designs and boosters (Fuel Cell). They can have up to 3 total speed boosters (Augmented Engine, Augmented Engine Booster, and Fuel Cell). Normal Colony Ships have up to two of these speed boosters. Advanced Colony Ship can have up to three different speed boosters.

11. A new "Engine Core" is available at Battleship Technology. It provides VERY high combat movement.

12. Scanner ranges were reduced to promote tactics.

13. Scanner satellites have an improved scanner range.

14. Mines offers more credits.

15. For special "Events" there are better credit/population rewards.

16. The first third of the Technology Tree was reorganize only enough to accommodate new weapons and engine designs.

17. The Marine Training Rate was doubled.

18. The Advanced Colony Ship is available much earlier.

19. The Jump Gate has faster travel times.

20. There is a new weapon with a short range, but fast rate-of-fire. It is weak, but deadly at close range. Some of the AI players will use it.

21. The weak Siliciods were improved in their intelligence. They are geniuses at discovering new technologies in a random way. Some of their buildings were improved.

22. The Klackons were greatly improved in some of their attributes and buildings.

23. The AI races were configured to trade and use the new items.

34. The Antaran mine costs more, but naturally produces a high technology bonus as compared to the regular asteroid mine.

25. The game scoring settings were adjusted so that if you WIN your chosen Victory Condition, then you often WILL have the best score!

26. DELETED (use the separate mod for this feature): The scouts have either a laser or missile. They can't be edited. They will automatically update to the improved features or the laser or missiles when discovered in research.

27. The Capital and Colonial Revenue Services Building provide more credits per turn; 5 and 2 respectively.

28. Killing spies doesn't harm diplomatic relations.

30. Small ship prices were greatly reduced for the new UCP 4.6 version since it eliminated bulk buying of more than one ship at the same time. This change helps for small emergencies (pirates) and helps keep game progress from being too slow. Here are the ship price adjustment factors:

Scout (-14), Bomber_frigate (-50), Frigate (-30), Ironclad (-30), Destroyer (1), Gunship (10), Cruiser (15), Freighter (-5), Transport (5), Advanced_transport (10), Hull_worker (.5)
