Building Control 1.1.3

Descripción

Building anarchy and other functions

When placing buildings, allows the user to select:
  • Placement mode - such as being able to change restrictions about placing on roads, water, etc.
  • Terrain surface - pavement, gravel, or no surface.
  • Terrain flattening - flatten the whole building block, just the building itself, or leave terrain unaffected.

When a building is selected, a panel containing the above options will appear (by default to the left of the building selection panel). Change options as required.

Unlike the older Building Anarchy mod, settings are saved per-building, so you can assign different settings to different instances of the same building model.

Note that this doesn't change any building service requirements. You still need to make sure that city services can reach that building as required (e.g. garbage collection, emergency services, etc.)

Meta
This mod uses Harmony[github.com] version 2.2 by Andreas Pardeike via the Cities Harmony mod by boformer.

Doesn't alter any savefile structure, and can be safely removed at any time.

@Lord Bloodfart There are powerline network assets on the Workshop that you can place along roads when using Network Anarchy. And even some roads that come with powerlines built in. Neither of which have anything to do with this mod, of course.

what about powerlines? I just want powerlines attached to roads :(

@pablopmorales99 Yes, if you change the placement mode.

Does this mod allow you to place a building wherever you want?

@algernon I tried, but can't seem to reach the creator (Quboid)...
It seems that this problem will not be solved for a while.

@CW_1250 Okay, so a different problem. That's how Move It is currently working - have you raised it with its creator already?

@algernon The problem I'm having is kind of like the one Frog GamePlays had, but not exactly the same (both happened when using Move it) - My problem is that when I use Move It to move a building whose foundation followed a smooth terrain, the state of the building changes and it becomes forced to have a flattened terrain.
Simply put, Move It is changing the terrain mode that Building Control set for the building. (English isn't my language, my expression might not be accurate. Sorry about that.)

@CW_1250 Sorry, I'm confused - is that two issues? Or do you mean something else? Or just the same as what Frog GamePlays says and what you wrote is incorrect?

I ran into a problem similar to @Frog GamePlays. When I used Move It to move the foundation of a building to follow the height of the terrain, it would switch to the state of forcing the terrain to be flat instead of following the terrain height like before.

@blackbackpack Understood, but if you're looking at free-range visuals then that's really your only option. This mod adds additional controls and flexibility to buildings - but they're fundamentally still buildings, and that comes with inherent restrictions. I don't know *exactly* what you're trying to achieve, so I can't give any advice other than to try it and see if it works for you.
