Step 1: Launch the OpenVR settings menu.

Step 2: Look for the "Universal Centered Rotation" option within the OpenVR settings. Enable this option as it will be necessary for the c-step.

Step 3: Once you've enabled Universal Centered Rotation, navigate to the rotation settings.

Step 4: At the bottom of rotation you can see snap turn angle Adjust that "Snap Turn Angle" value to 180 degrees.

Step 5: Proceed to the "Offsets" section or a similar option in the OpenVR settings. Look for the settings related to front and center offsets. Set both of these offsets to -3 for a longer c-step distance. Alternatively, you can try -2 for a shorter distance. If using negative values doesn't work, you can remove the minus sign and leave it as a positive value.

Step 6: Access the "Bindings" section within the OpenVR settings. Here, you'll be able to assign a button or control to trigger the c-step action.

Step 7: Choose a button or control that you'd like to use for the c-step and bind it to the "Snap Turn Left" or "Snap Turn Right" function.


That's it! You've successfully set up the c-step. Now, whenever you press the binded button or control, you should be able to perform the c-step action in your VR experience.
