Engineer (v1.5)

Descripción
General Description

Engineer is quick and aggressive hustler that can deal massive damage at closer ranges but can keep up the pressure at a distance as well. his main gimmick is that he has a draining battery that allows him to do his stronger moves, some moves can increase that battery by a little which encourages him to get rack up combos for more battery (Moves in description). While he is a strong choice, he may not be as good at medium range as he's not close enough to get in but also not far enough to be safe while setting up.

Extra Mechanics

The Drone

The drone is similar to wizard orb however it carries some differences. for starters it's automated so engineer can sit back as it does most of the work, using its Charged button allows it to combo moves instead of it only doing one single attack (it'll do the attack opposite of the direction you initially picked). the moves also give a varying amount of battery (of which I will not be listing).

Overclock

Overclock allows engineer to go into a sort of workaholic state, decreasing the time it takes for him to attack after hitting. it also does stops battery drain and resets pushback upon scoring a melee hit. you can extend the overclock state by hitting the opponent.

This character has far too little knockback for how much range it has. Recently was playing vs. a friend with Royalty (Toriel and Asgore). Royalty has no knockback resist and 15% damage resist (same as Robot) and ended up in a 13000 damage combo (i.e. ~87% of the HP bar). Almost all supers hit everything, including OTG, and a lot of the fast melee has a massive hitbox. Almost nothing had knockback (DI has almost no effect), so he just kept attacking, and Nuclear Component keeps the combo going because it's fast and hits OTG.
Cool character concept, but while an infinite combo is possible, it's not exactly fun to play against.

If it's true that Miyuu's characters are a not-insignificant source of the instability in 1.9, then for the safety of my game, I will have to unsubscribe from this and other characters for the time being. It's a shame because Engineer in particular is one of my favorites. I really hope this gets sorted soon.

Hey so this character and all of Miyuu's other characters have a bit of code that completely broke 1.9 until Ivy specifically patched it due to these characters being popular enough...

Miyuu. I recommend you completely remove the installScriptExtention you have on CharState. It is not update-proof, and WILL come back to bite (and I believe still has compatibility issues with other mods despite it technically "Working" most of the time)

hey miyuu the lack of a fast attack in air without electricity is hard to deal with, that and all of the attacks get land cancelled, so if you whiff cancel when you are about to land, you are screwed
