Tram T 27 / TM 33, TM 34, TM 36 (Berlin)

The so-called "Schützenwagen" T 27 were intended for modernisation of the coach fleet, but suffered acute technical problems so that they all had to be withdrawn by 1931. A first conversion attempt resulted in the TM 33 series, which was introduced in 1933. These were designed for multiple control. After that, they tried to make the TM 34 cheaper and abandoned multiple control. For the 1936 Olympic Games, the rest of the fleet was modernised as the TM 36, this series being a mix of the previous ones. These were the last BVG (West) coaches in service until 1967.
