Looking for all the cousins you can play as? Look no further, as this guide will reveal all of these locations!
Something to note, before I begin. When unlocking cousins, only one will show up at a time. After rolling them up, the next one will show up, and repeat. This means that you will need to play some stages three or four times to get all of them. In the later games, this weird restriction was removed, and I kinda wish they retrofitted this to the remake.
With that out of the way, let's begin!

ACE - You literally can't miss him, as you need to roll him up to beat the stage. The game will even give you a tracker to point you in the direction of him.

SLIP - This one's hinted at, as the Soccer Kid might ask "What happens when I play as Ace?" Instead of creating a paradox, Slip will show up. He'll be gliding around the arena, and like with Ace, you'll get a tracker for him once you're big enough.

MACHO - He's on the floor, riding on a crayfish. You don't need to roll up the crayfish to pick him up.

You can also find the Prince here if you're not playing as him. He'll be on the dresser, in an apple. Obviously you don't need to roll him up to unlock him, but if you might as well.

L'AMOUR - She's laying on the floor in the middle of the room.

ICHIGO - At the top of the hill, there's a tree with a swing. She's nearby the tree, riding on top of a deer. You can pick her up pretty much as soon as you start.

MARNY - He's on a manta ray that circles the level. I'd recommend grabbing him as soon as you can, cause he might despawn if you get too big.

CAN-CAN - In the area you start in, he's running around on top of the table.


HAVANA - Outside (past the 20cm barrier), he's having a picnic in the garden / playground area. If you play on the Fast as Possible version of this stage, you can get him pretty much as soon as you start.

KINOKO - Next to the cabin near the waterfall, she's doing some sort of ritual with some old men covered in fungus. She's the only "living thing" you can roll up here, as everyone else catches on fire and books it, even the old men she was dancing with!

There a technically two stages here, but as far as I know, the cousin location is the same whether you pick Gingerbread House or Sweets Meadow.

HONEY - She's dancing off to the side of the house / circle of wafers.

This stage has two versions, a Large as Possible version, and a Fast as Possible version where you pick up all the students.


MISO - Only found in the Large as Possible version, you can find her in the room you start in, as she's on a desk near the teacher's desk. Pick her up before the student tries to eat her brain soup.


HUEY - Only found in the Fast as Possible version, he's in the third classroom, and you can pick him up pretty much as soon as you start.

JOHNSON - In the area you start in, he's on top of the mug that's on top of the durama. Simply roll up his tower and he'll come crashing down.


TWINKLE - Across the bridge, he's on top of one of the trees, as you would expect from a star like him.


KURO - He's at the school, practicing at the hurdles. He's gonna get disqualified for flying under and over them, so pick him up before the coach sees.

DIPP - At the top of the mountain, he's surrounded by lightning bugs as they try to teach him how to dance. There's a good number of fireflies on the mountain, so I'd recommend going here if you're trying to get the super-clear.

LALALA - Under an umbrella, near the ski shop, she's getting her tan on. Pick her up before she gets a bad case of frostbite, although she might get that anyway.

FOOMIN - In the starting area, she's dancing next to a mushroom in the playground area. You can pretty much pick her up as soon as you start.


MIKI - In the town, she's in line to get her fortune told. Roll her up before she wastes her money.


VELVET - After passing the 3m barrier, take a trip down to the beach, and you'll find her riding a shark.

ODEON - He's at the front of the marketplace, trying to sell some dude some wares. Stop him before he scams the poor guy.

This stage has three variations, but the cousin location is the exact same. All that changes is the size of the rival sumo and some of food you'll need to eat to Sumo Size.


NIK - Right next to the farm, there's an eating contest going on. Nik is on the stage, with his trophy, likely in a food coma. Since he's a bit hefty, you need a size up a bit to grab him.

This stage has two versions, As Many Friends As Possible, and Friends As Fast As Possible, and there is a different cousin for each version.


BEYOND - He's in the As Many Friends version, at the top of the hill staring out at the aquatic section. Due to his tall stature, you'll have to get pretty big to roll him up.


NJAMO - He's in the As Fast As Possible version, on top an alligator in the swamp area. Also, in every other game (including KDR), he's called Colombo in the English versions, no idea why they changed that.

Now, all three of the cousins are actually in the same location, in the smaller circuit around the mansion and behind the stands. I will instead point out what each of them are rolling. You do not need to pick up what they are rolling to grab them.


ODEKO - He's rolling a red-brown ball decorated with items.
SHY - She's rolling a very large lily pad.
NICKEL - He's rolling a heap of mechanical items.

OPEO - In the bathroom, he's laying on a bed suffering some sort of illness. Makes you wonder if the cranes scattered across the bathroom are for him. Oh well, he'll live.

JUNE - There are these two buff cloud men playing jump rope, and she's playing with them too.


FUJIO - As his name would suggest, he's chilling on a cloud near Mt. Fuji.

JUNGLE - In the swamp area, he's riding on a coelacanth. Something interesting to note is that in almost every game before KDR, he had this really neat camouflage effect. This was then changed to a masking effect that matched his artwork.

DAISY - She's leading a bunch of cowmen and bearmen around the track. She also counts a cow and will end the stage, so keep that in mind.

There are three versions of this stage, with completely different cousins and presents. I'll label each section.

Small Just-Right (20cm)


MARCY - On the shoulder of the large robot. I believe you're intended get big enough to grab the robot, which will put you way over 20 cm. Or you could be like me and dash off of the bed and land on top of her.

Medium Just-Right (2m)


PESO - In the first classroom, he's chilling with a farmer at a kotasu. My guess is that he's meant to be the principal?

Large Just-Right (50m)


SIGNOLO - He's running around in a city with the L'Arc De Triumphe. I would honestly recommend restarting until you start there. I'd also recommend rolling as much as you can here, as there are a lot of frequently-missed items here if you're going for 100% (especially those signs...)

Brace yourself, as this is the longest regular stage in the game and there's four cousins to find here.


SHIKAO - In the center the starting town, he's watching the TVs on display. A true CRT enjoyer, I see. You can pick him up as soon you start.


LUCHA - Past the 3m barrier, on top of a hill, there's a bunch of boxing rings. Lucha is fighting at the farthest boxing ring. Grab before reaching 12m, or he might vanish.


NUTSUO - Past the 12m barrier, he's on one of Nessies in the lake next to the waterfall.


DROOBY - Past the 60m barrier, she's drilling into the oasis in the desert. Make sure to grab her before you reach 300m, as she has a tendency to unload after the loading screen.

And that's all of them! These following stages do not contain any new cousins: Roll up the Sun, Roll up the Cousins, Save Earth, and 1,000,000 Roses.

There's also the Royal Reverie. While it would be cool to play as the young King in the regular stages, as far as I know, there no way to unlock him. I guess this was done to prevent a time paradox of the King talking to himself.
