FPS fix for NVIDIA users
By Nordlaw
For whatever reason, there seems to be a problem where sometime the game will render itself on the CPU instead of the GPU. Unless you have an extraordinarily powerful CPU, this will make the game preform very poorly, as it is a port.

Fixing the problem
STEP 1.
Go to NVIDIA control panel and add GBO2 as a game. If it is not identified immediately, simply add the game manually:

STEP 2.
Select "High performance NVIDIA processor" as preferred GPU. If you were having trouble before, this will probably be on "Integrated":

If it was not universally configured in the control panel, this is a good opportunity to change that. This way, all future programs will be forced to run on the GPU, and you won't run into these problems.
That's it; you're done!

I am unsure if this problem exist with AMD GPUs, but if it does, post a fix in the comments!

this guide only works if you have a IGPU (the gpu in your cpu) or if you have multiple graphic cards. I would see this being useful if you have a laptop and your game is set to use your cpu igpu by default (which for whatever reason, nvidia seems to have this issue alot lol. their software seems to not be able to choose your dedicated gpu by default in alot of cases which results in poor performances)

Thought I wouldn't get much extra performance out of using this guide to jump from Radeon graphics on a Ryzen 7 4800H to a GeForce GTX 1660Ti but uhhh

you're telling me GBO2 was meant to run at slippery-smooth 45-60 FPS instead of a janky 24-30 throwback to all the PS3 games it mines for the MS roster? (Well, I say that, but you could make the opposite argument considering the PS4 uses a Radeon APU-GPU from a generation prior.) In-match play runs much smoother, aiming takes less guesswork, rotating the MS model with Paint fields highlighted no longer nosedives in frame rate.

Seems forcing GPU use has some secondary effects on the backend too; nothing that increases matchmaking success rate, but I'm no longer bombarded with the "Failed to connect to clan chat server." notice every time I transition back to Base Camp.

i believe this only happens if you have integrated graphics on your cpu, which is mostly an intel chip feature.
