Remote Habitat Erni

Kuvaus
Remote Habitat Erni is an intermediate-sized, all-environment habitat with advanced processing and production capabilities, and provides living space for 8 players. This blueprint boasts a revolving refinery-assembler module at the center!

Power is generated passively using 7 batteries and 8 solar panels. The habitat is accessible via an airlock at the top of the ground-access stairs and below the landing pad. This remote habitat is unarmed, but does include an auto-welder-repaired, heavily armored decoy tower to protect against lightning strikes. No mods are used.

Ore, ice, and part processing and production are provided by 4 advanced refineries that are upgraded with yield modules, 1 advanced assembler that is upgraded with speed modules, and 2 O2/H2 generators. Ore, ice, and parts are stored in 1 large cargo container and 2 small cargo containers; hydrogen gas is stored in 2 small hydrogen tanks, and oxygen gas is stored in 2 oxygen tanks.

NOTES FOR BUILDING WITH A PROJECTOR IN SURVIVAL
This blueprint includes two sub-grids: 1) refinery-assembler module on an advanced rotor, and 2) antenna dish on a hinge.
Building the Main Grid
(See the fourth-to-last picture for the projector configuration.)
1. Find a reasonably flat building location; the blueprint only has two ground anchor points, so placement should be easy.
2. Build a battery that is set about halfway into the ground.
3. Build a projector on top of the battery; the projector's front (vertical line) will be oriented toward the habitat's landing pad.
4. Load the blueprint into the projector; set the projector to "Keep Projection" to enable repairs.
5. Build the blueprint.
Building the Refinery-Assembler Module Sub-Grid
(See the third-to-last and second-to-last pictures for the projector configuration.)

1. Build a conveyor junction on top of the advanced rotor's head.
2. Build a projector in front of the conveyor junction; the projector's front (vertical line) should be oriented away from the conveyor junction.
3. Load the blueprint into the projector; set the projector to "Keep Projection" to enable repairs.
4. Build the blueprint.
Building the Antenna Sub-Grid
(See the last picture.)
1. Locate the hinge on top of the refinery-assembler module.
2. Build an antenna dish, attaching it to the antenna hinge.
3. Tilt the hinge to 45° (or less).
4. Lock the hinge and zero-out the hinge velocity.
5. Locate the button panel in the south building; turn on the advanced rotor; a good speed is 1-3 RPM.

Oh, OK. I use SEToolbox, an absolutely incredible tool for finding out everything about your grids. It gives damage status, overall physical size and mass, number of blocks, number of each type of block, PCUs, how many parts are required to build, how many ingots of each type are required to build, and how many kilograms of ore of each type are required to build. No, sorry, I meant to ask what you used to calculate the amounts of required parts you listed under "Required parts for building in survival"

I'm assuming you're asking about how to build in survival. I build a temporary "base" close to where I want to build this base, complete with a couple (or more) advanced refineries and an advanced assembler or two. Then I build a small mining ship capable of moving a bunch of ore. For planets, I prefer the MicroMole miner (you can find it on my workshop) because it mines quickly and carries quite a bit of ore. Once I've processed a bunch of iron and silicon, the two most widely used ores for this build, then I start building Erni. When Erni is far enough along, I break down my temporary base to use as parts to build Erni.
