Guns ranking largely depends on preferred playstyle; for one described here (from most fitting to the least): Victoria-> Solomon-> Ramesses II-> Makeda-> Richard III. But then again, Exodus has mastered Richard, so it's up to you to decide.
I agree about Makeda, but chances to get good combo is pretty slim. In fact, I can’t remember ever having Makeda+Bushido, and only had one-shotting blade combo for 5 games tops in 160 hours.
If you hover cursor on enemy piece, there will be description to the left with hourglass showing amount of turns left until their movement. About who decides, which piece will get closer to you during their simultaneous attack, I'm afraid it's random.
I'm happy to hear that you've reached rank 13, good job! You have necessary skills, and it's only a matter of time until you've beaten rank 15 as well. Some persistence and a little bit of luck, and you'll reach your goal.
Since nowadays you can unlock shotguns making the value of a card better for one gun then others.
Makida and Shibodu work well together because in one card you can one shot anything with less then 5 hp, and then move.
Do you see paterns in how the pieces move and who gets to move first?
I've been looking but not finding anything consistent in move order, since if you can predict when a bishop will block the atacking path of the queen thats the best.
Currently at 13, like how on earth do peeps do this? :)
