CAT C175-1M Mobile Generator

CATERPILLAR INC. brings you a new solution to under electrified areas, many electrically dependant worksites alike, etc

Introducing the mobile generator plant! This application only weighing 2 tonnes makes it easy to transport around with most trucks, ships, rail, etc. It outputs a whopping 2600 SWATTS at full throttle however not sustainably.

The engine needs its own external fuel source so make sure to bring a spare fuel truck!

with you to feed it. The engine has quite a large operating band, for example; you could easily leave the engine to idle and it can still spit out 200 give or take 10 SWATTS at a reasonably low fuel consumption. All of this is done within the dimensions of the standard container in stormworks at the users convenience.

Notes: The engines fuel consumption varies alot as its RPS increases but tends to average out at about 2.8l/s at max rps.

1. Check Battery has more than 70% charge (if not, please connect a cable to the electrical cable point next to the battery with a electrical source then refer to step 2).
2. Connect a fuel line to your external tank and check the manual shutoff valve is open (fuel source is explicitly diesel, the engine does not have a filter to stop this so using the wrong type of fuel is your own responsibility).
3. Press the C175-1M on/off button until you see a green light visible above the button and the 'FUEL PRESS' dial is alive.
4. Check the engine is firing by seeing if the engine is stabilising around 150rpm or more and the 'TEMP' dial is alive.
5. Check the electric radiator fans are spinning and the generator is alive on the big dial.
6. Close the 'Gen MCB' circuit breaker

1. Close the throttle.
2. Turn the manual fuel shutoff valve to the closed position.
3. Press the C175-1M on/off button until the green indicator above is extinguished.
4. Disconnect the fuel line from the engine and stow it.
5. Isolate the 'Gen MCB' circuit breaker

- Inspect the engine for any damage, especially around the external frame electrical connectors.
- Charge the battery.
- Continually pump diesel into the engine with the manual shutoff valve open and leave the engine to continuously start while battery charger is connected to a source for approx 5 minutes to flush the pipes and not drain the battery.
-Check 'TEMP' dial and confirm the 'OVERHEAT' indicator is extinguished. (if not, your engine has overheated and needs to take time to cool down, recommended restart on the generator is when 'TEMP' reaches below 30°c as indicated)
