Collect from crusades
Easiest and the most available way to collect more coins is to go on crusades and win them.
Bonus, if you can do so without taking damage from main boss!

Mint your own money
If you have enough resources to build a refinery, you can mint your own money; provided you have gold nuggets.

Send follower on a mission
Once your missionary is erected, you can select a follower to gather coins on a mission.

Just make sure to select a follower with a higher chance of success.

*Pro-tip: Look out for a missionary necklace from the unnamed God in the centre. They give a 100% chance of success.

Daily sermon
If you are in the beginning stages of the game, having daily sermons will give you devotion that would help you unlock high power weapons.

Once you have unlocked all the weapons, daily sermons will generate coins, which the followers will deposit in the alter for you to collect.

*Pro-tip: I usually leave the coins in the alter so that I have less money on me. That way, the evil ***** Midas can loot less of it.
Collection box
Install offering statue(s).

Wait for followers to deposit resources. Some of it might be coins. You will also get meat, stone, wooden planks, fish and gold nuggets.

Sell this, sell that
Provided the final boss has granted you the ability to sell stuff

You will see a Sell chest near the Build chest in the village.

You can sell all manner of things for coins. However, keep in mind, the more frequently you sell something, the price of the item will go down. So it is better to wait for a few days before selling the item again.

*Pro-tip: Don't sell the items at night. The spiders can run away with your coins before you collect them.
Extort from followers
Ethics aside, if you are really strapped for cash, you can ask (force) followers to donate to you.

Make sure the Extort Tithes doctrine is unlocked first!

Some foods are special
Once you start gathering different food resources, you will see additional dishes you can prepare in your cookbook.

It is important to note what each dish can invoke. Some dishes have a chance for the followers to drop valuable resources, including coins.

Again, make sure you collect all the dropped resources before the night falls to save from spiders.

Mass donation
This requires the doctrine Ritual of enrichment to be unlocked.

You can perform a ritual where all your followers would donate to you.

Employ a tax collector
Well, it is less of an employment and more of an assignment.

Unlock the doctrine Tax enforcer.

Perform the Tax enforcer ritual.

Assign a follower as a tax collector and release them in the wild.

You can then take the collected tax from the follower. Just make sure enough time has passed for them to collect.

Gamble
Not the most responsible thing to do but if you are confident in your knucklebones gameplay, this might be right up your alley.

If you have met Ratau, you will have unlocked the destination Lonely Shack.

With different opponents, you can bet different amounts on a game of knucklebones.

The maximum being 50 coins.

If you win, the opponent pays you the bet amount. If you lose, you pay the bet amount to the opponent.
Save yourself from Midas
Beware of this F*****

I hate it with a passion.

Now, the good news (if you have not already encountered it) is, that it can only take the coins currently on you. Goal is to minimise coins and have more assets.

How do we do that?

  • One, I have already mentioned- do not collect from the temple alter.

  • Two, convert coins to gold bars in the refinery

  • Three, buy seeds from the worm near Anchordeep.

  • Four, buy fish from the fisherman at Pilgrim's Passage

Remember, when you need cash, you will be able to sell these items again from the sell chest in the village.

Can you tell me more about Midas? I finished the game in 2022 before the first content update. I came back today and he stole something like 10k from me. Will be come back for more?
