Description:
Industrial Armors were always neglected in Rimworld, the peak of flak armor is a simple front and backplate which is disappointing, so using Frontier Uniforms as a framework, I have improved the industrial armor situation as well as adding in various other forms of militaria to the Rim.

This is my attempt to improve the graphics of Frontier Uniforms, expand items available by the mod from armor and uniforms, and to make something that can fit into the Rimworld lore without fuss. That effort lead to this spiritual successor to Frontier Uniforms that only carries the grenade bandoleers from the original mods. In this effort I have used other mods that either allow others to use their resources or have been for lack of a better word abandoned by their creators or have lacked an update in over a year which means freegame unless the mod author tells me no.

Overall, I believe to have generally improved the textures of Frontier Uniforms and expanded into different aspects, such as uniforms for specialists and better armor for soldiers for those hardened veterans and those lazy butter-bar officers.

Content:
The Clothing added by this mod function based on environment that a soldier can find on the Rim.
  • Desert Field Uniform with Hat.
  • Temperate Uniform with Hat.
  • Winter Uniform with Hat.
  • Arctic Uniform with Thermal Helmets.
  • Support Uniform for those Engineers and Medics on the Frontline for both normal temperatures and extreme temperatures.
  • Officer Uniforms for the colonists that are too good to fight but are rich enough to buy a commission.
  • Bandoleers from Shaz's Frontier Uniforms of which this mod takes inspiration from.
  • Rain Cape for your hunters to be able to blend into the environment to hunt for food and sport.

The Armor Offered by this Mod is Divided into two categories, Heavy and Light with appropriate trade-offs to their usage.
  • Heavy Flak Armor with Helmet Variations (Regular, Medic, and Thermal)
  • Light Flak Armor with Helmet Variations (Regular, Medic, and Thermal)

Future Plans:
  • None, all efforts will go to the new mod, A Brave New Frontier.

As for the foot issue I have been using full armor for digits so toes are covered

3. I'm looking into getting new artwork and one of them is belt pouches, ammo bandoleers, and magazine pouches. So not really webbing but just more things to accessorize your colonists.
4. The Thermal Helmet are just to help with really cold weather, the ideal way of dealing with the heat is to have just the regular helmet because I couldn't give in to making an Arrakis clothing set with a stillsuit.

1. The Armor Covers the whole leg which means it overrides the foot so you don't need boots for it. Doing it so it doesn't cover the foot means a lot of your colonists are gonna lose their toes. However this is a small fix but it means removing protection for the whole leg or making the armor the shell layer which prevents coats being worn with or using the bandoleers. I have made the change though it might lead to problems with the armor's efficiency in combat.
2. I thought about doing pants and shirts dividing however doing it as a jumpsuit where it's simpler and makes it so the uniforms can be categorized. Rimmu-nation feels a bit bloated to me because its a lot of accessories and clothing. Though I get that people like that to really customize their pawns, it seem like to much to me and it would require much more work to make the pieces really mean something.

So this might be a big comment:
Would you consider removing the flak light and heavy armor using the same slot that vanilla apparel uses for it’s boots? Also, I think uniforms should be two separate parts as shirt and pants rather than one suit, kind of like how rimmu-nation does it’s uniforms
(On that note webbing would be kind of a cool addition)

@Lithe, Fixed it, stuff multipliers are now 1.2 for light and 1.5 for heavy with a difference of 0.5 for their respective helmets. Turns out I didn't save these changes before publishing but fixed now.

Despite costing more to make, the Heavy armors appear to have the same protective value as the light ones. I can't imagine this is intentional.
