I have tried to historically recreate the situation in Italy in 633.

The Romans, heirs of the great empire, have resisted the various barbarian incursions over time, the most recent with the Ostrogoths who dominated them for two centuries.
The invasion of the Lombards destabilized everything again, they briefly conquered the north and pushed as far as the south.
The Ostrogoths have taken refuge on hills and mountains, the Romans maintain their original territories by finding protection in the Eastern Empire.
What will happen?
Who will be able to dominate the peninsula?
Will the Lombards unify in one big kingdom or will they fight each other for power?
Will the Ostrogoths return to power?
Will there be a new Roman leader who will revive the empire by unifying it?
Will the Italian peninsula suffer another invasion?
Will the Catholic Church be able to tolerate the Arian heretics?

Changes:
All Lombards are Arian heretics as well as their territories.
The Ostrogoths are Catholics.
Romans are Catholics.
Corsica and Sardinia are culturally Sardinian divided between Catholics and Orthodox.
Sicily, Calabria and Puglia are colonized and governed by the Eastern Orthodox Empire.
Also changed the Balearic Islands with Catalan culture, but are governed by Constantinople.

It's my first modification of a MOD for CK2, thanks to the original creator of the MOD!
