Stop bots from walking through doors after you close them
By SilverHomicide
Are you a singleplayer +3 bots kind of player? Are you tearing your hair out because your robotic compatriots refuse to stay on the right side of the door you're trying to close?

Here's a solution.

Context
I play this game mostly solo with bots, and most of the time I find the bots fine (they are my homies and I appreciate them). But recently I had a very frustrating experience where I was attempting to close a door so that I could C-Foam it and, every time, one of the bots would walk through the door as it was closing, or even phase through the door, moving to the next room. They would then try to make their way back to the room where I was standing via an alternate route. If they could not find one they would then return to the door, which I would then have to re-open. This process would often take several seconds and was very frustrating.

This made it impossible for me to close the door and keep my whole team on the right side.

But, thankfully, I figured out a solution. I don't know if it's known in the community already, but I though I should share it anyway, just in case, because this is a very frustrating bug.
The fix
Basically, if you want to close an open door, just stand off to the side of the button and face it at a 90° angle, so you're looking at its side, like this (view screenshot)

From my experience, this will prevent the bots from walking through the door as you try to close it.

Conclusion
I hope this can help someone struggling with the same issue. If you have had a different experience or have another solution, please do leave it in the comments.

Have a good one.
Bye.

I will try that out. Thanks for the info.

The only thing that has worked for me (with mixed results) is to pull them all away from the door then run to it and close it quickly then back away soon as I hit the door close button. Works most of the time.... but not all
