i double checked it right now and somehow for all the 30 mins i spent i kept forgetting the engine shut off thanks for the help

Guessing you mean 80 rpm. 800 should be started alright
You probably forgot to switch the Fuel Selector back or forgot to switch it when priming, forgot the engine fuel shutoff valve or forgot to set the fuel mixture to rich

also it appears to happen on all the I-16 planes
