Restoring the missing dubbing

Sadly, English dubbing does not exist, but you can choose between Polish or Hungarian (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong) so it's better than nothing.

Download the files from Tholvnar's guide and If you want to have Polish dubbing replace the launcher
and files inside the media folder. If you prefer the Hungarian dub, just replace the launcher .exe

To access Kao main folder just right click on Kao 3 go to properties, local files and then click on browse

Fixing the controller support

To fix the controller, download Xinput Plus Patch[cdn.discordapp.com] and paste its contents into the main game folder. Now you just need to configure your controls in-game

Changing resolution and graphical settings

There is a Configuration.exe in the main folder where you can adjust all the stuff

Better English subtitles

The original English subtitles are rather poor quality, thankfully there is a better fan translation that you can get here[www.romhacking.net]. To install it go to Kao 3 folder>Media>misc>localize and replace the lang_psp file

Hi Ray, when I play KAO the Kangaroo, Mystery of the Volcano, KAO goes into Slow Motion, if I change direction he speeds up for a very brief period about 1 sec and back to Slow Motion again. If you can offer any advice it will be much appreciated, please keep it simple I'm new to Steam, with a limited knowledge of computers......QuantumQuest.....Ta!!

@lxtsolivxr The game crashes when I run it after applying the XInput Plus settings.

i couldn't find the patch but instead i found this:

download this: https://github.com/ThoseWhoFight/XInput-Plus (this may be the base program that was mentioned in the post)
extract and open the .exe file
select "kao_tw.exe" from your steam directory
at "KeyAssign" change the "RS Button" to "START" so you can pause your game with start
then bump up the linearity at "Sticks" so that the output state isn't circular anymore (this game as many other old games uses a square shape)
enable the directinput support at "DirectInput" then click "Apply"

after all this you should be set to finally enjoy this game with fully functional controller support :)

Is there even an English voiceover? That was in the second part. Because the Polish voiceover is very specific.

Hi Ray, the other dub is not Hungarian. The Hungarian sounds way shittier and goofy. This is clearly another slavic language. Not Russian tho, so i'm betting it's the Czech/Slovak dub

Yeah, for some reason unlike Kao 1, 3 has no launch option pop up, so if people don't look inside game folder there is no way for them to know about that
