Glock-18 | High Beam patterns "Half Navy" CS2 [OUTDATED]
By LocaL
**THIS GUIDE IS OUTDATED AND ORIGINALLY FROM THE CS2 PLAYTEST**

I love dark blue skins in CS:GO, but the only one for the Glock-18 is the Blue Fissure, which is kind of ugly. However, with the CS2 update coming, there have been lots of changes to lighting with regards to reflective skins. Some skins that might not have looked nice before, suddenly look good in CS2, like the Anodized Navy, or in this case, the Glock-18 High beam.

I noticed that the High Beam is a darker blue instead of the normal light blue. So I started looking at all of the patterns, to try to find a full blue. However, this doesn't exist, because if you look at the pattern, there is very little negative space for the darker color. However, there are some patterns that have a lot more of the dark blue than others, and that is what this guide is focused on.

*NOTE* It appears that some patterns have changed with the full release of CS2. This guide was made during the beta.

Differences Between Patterns
There are quite a few differences between the patterns, and there are some specific features that make the "Half-Navy" special.

Angle
The angle of the "beams" are important in selecting a pattern that has a lot more blue. There are two categories of angles that I've noticed, some are more horizontal, and some are more vertical. Typically, Patterns that have vertical beams are more likely to have more uninterrupted blue than patterns with horizontal beams.

Horizontal Beam Example

Vertical Beam Example

Its a very subtle difference in angle, but it means the difference when it comes to coverage.

Number of "Beams"
The number of beams also contributes to the amount of coverage on the skin. I've found that ideally, a pattern will have 3-4 beams.

Pattern Placement
Behind Ejection Port
There is only really one placement you can get, and its the only one you want. Having the beam start behind the ejection port on the reverse/non-play side will ensure the most navy blue coverage on the skin. Having the pattern start this far back also allows the light blue to be mostly covered by a sticker, which would also be in the best position for a sticker on the Glock.
Best Patterns
#1 Pattern "Half-Navy"
There is only one "Half-Navy" pattern that I have found that has an almost full navy slide catch. The issue is, the Glock-18 in CS2 has a different model, and the slide catch is very different from the current build of the game. So there are some patterns that appear really well in the current build of CSGO, and some that look better in CS2. This is the only pattern in CS2 that has a mostly blue slide catch.

Light Blue Slide Catch
There are some other patterns that when inspected in CS2, have an almost fully light blue slide catch. These would be the second best patterns in my opinion.

Other Notable Patterns
There are some other patterns that have 3-4 beams and a good amount of navy coverage, that have split color slide catches in CS2. There are a lot of them, so here is the list.
