History of my avatar (profile picture)
By Holar
This guide is probably more for me than for anyone else - but maybe one or the other here on Steam will be interested. This is to explain a little bit the different portrait pictures and maybe also explain the development and the history of my profile picture (avatar).

I will always expand this guide to show the latest avatar images!

That is the (momentary) situation
Currently I change my profile picture very often - but I try to stay true to my "base picture", especially the actor who is on it. And of course the Fedora if possible.

This is to explain a little bit the different pictures and maybe also a little bit the development and the history. The pictures of the last weeks I have made "of course" with an AI
(https://www.midjourney.com/) .

So please, everyone who doesn't like this kind of "art" and finds it "dumb" and condemns every result of these generators or "graphic tools", shouldn't read any further. For all others, I will try to show the prompts I used. And please, please... don't start a discussion about "generative artificial intelligence programs" or "deep learning models that generate digital images from natural language descriptions" in the comments. Thanks, feel free to write me via PN.
That's the way

Holar as Steve Buscemi
First of all, my main avatar image what I have been using for many years is Steve Buscemi in an early role as Mister Shhh* (Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead ‧ 1995 ‧ Crime/Thriller).

(* Mister Shhh with THREE "h")

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Buscemi

Steven Vincent Buscemi (born December 13, 1957) is an American actor. He is known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs (1992), Robert Rodriguez's Desperado (1995), Simon West's Con Air (1997) und Michael Bay's Armageddon (1998). Buscemi is also known for his many collaborations with the Coen brothers, having appeared in six of their films: Miller's Crossing (1990), Barton Fink (1991), The Hudsucker Proxy (1994), Fargo (1996), The Big Lebowski (1998), and Paris, je t'aime (2006). In 2004, Buscemi joined the cast of the television series The Sopranos as Tony Soprano's cousin and childhood friend, Tony Blundetto, a role that earned him an Emmy Award nomination. Buscemi starred in the HBO drama series Boardwalk Empire created by Terence Winter. The series started in 2010, where Buscemi assumed the role as Enoch "Nucky" Thompson (based on Enoch L. Johnson), a corrupt Atlantic City politician.

Buscemi is noted for wrinkles around his eyes, giving them an aged appearance. "Buscemi eyes" describes the result when his eyes are photo-edited onto others' faces.

Buscemi was a New York City firefighter from 1980 to 1984, with Engine Company No. 55, in the Little Italy section of New York.

My personal reason
I like him as an actor myself, as I thought his roles in the 90s were so brilliant.... he also seems likeable as a person. Plays a kind of outsider most of the time. His physiognomy is so unique that I think he is unmistakable.

BTW: I think the same goes for Nicolas Cage (not only the face but the whole body language is brilliant) and Christopher Walken. Both contenders for a genius avatar image, but.... Steve Buscemi became it.

Actually I wanted the AI to create a "diagrammatic drawing**", but somehow it only came up with a GOOD "normal" drawing.

In the style of precisionism** influence
with gun poses, heroic masculinity, contemporary fact versus fiction

**Precisionism has not been applied here by midjourney, but it is a good and interesting art style

"Precisionism" was a modernist art movement that emerged in the United States after World War I. Influenced by Cubism, Purism, and Futurism, Precisionist artists reduced subjects to their essential geometric shapes, eliminated detail, and often used planes of light to create a sense of crisp focus and suggest the sleekness and sheen of machine forms.

Trompe - l'oeil**
digital mixed media, sigma 105mm f/ 1. 4 dg hsm art, fairy tale illustrations, realistic trompe - l'oeil

**this art style makes more sense when used in an environment to create optical illusions

Trompe-l'œil (French for 'deceive the eye') is an artistic term for the highly realistic optical illusion of three-dimensional space and objects on a two-dimensional surface. Trompe l'œil, which is most often associated with painting, tricks the viewer into perceiving painted objects or spaces as real. Forced perspective is a related illusion in architecture.

Man, this guide was interesting...I wrote down most of the movies to watch. This actor has eyes very similar to Rami Malek from Mr.Robot

One question, have you watched the series Twin Peaks and Fargo (series)? David Lynch and the Coen brothers, it sounds like something you would find interesting.
