Description
This is a collection of useful life hacks that will simplify your hard work in DRG.
All these life hacks are designed for greenbeards, but perhaps experienced dwarves will learn something new.
I would also like to clarify that this guide was written thanks to a translator, so if something is crookedly translated, then write about it in the comments and I will try to fix it

You can also familiarize yourself with the second and third parts:

#1
For lazy people like me who prefer to look at something on the phone until the drop-pod arrives, this lifehack will be useful. After the rocket is recalled, you can cling to it and thus bugs (except spitters) will not be able to get you.

Cling

It is important not to release the LMB button

#2
Use cryobombs in the ice biome to freeze enemies and inflict more damage on them.

#3
With the help of drills, you can easily descend from a great height just by drilling holes in the walls.

#4
At an event with Ebonite Glyphids, you can pick up a pickaxe charger even 12 seconds after it disappears.

#5
You can move faster on the pipe rail, to do this, hold Shift + W periodically jumping, thereby you will accelerate.

#6
You can join the “Interplanetary Miners Union”, which is located in the space-rig near the pickaxe editor. By joining it, you will be able to receive free rewards in the form of resources and credits.

It is important to note that you can join there only for one week, after which, this offer will disappear for the next 4 weeks.

First you need to join the Discord

#7
You can speed up the reloading of weapons by knocking down the animation. To knocking down the animation, just press the RMB after you see that you have added ammo.

No trick (4 seconds)

Trick (3 seconds)

#8
For fixing the mini-mule, you get 40-60 nitra and gold

#9
When you get at least 2 meters closer to mini-mule, a swarm of beetles will appear in 12-30 seconds.

Also, after digging up the leg, a small horde can spawn

source: deeprockgalactic wiki gg

#10
In egg hunting, only a certain number of hordes can be triggered by egg digging:

• 4 eggs: 1 of the 4 eggs will cause a swarm
• 6 eggs: 2 of the 6 eggs will cause a swarm
• 8 eggs: 3 of the 8 eggs will cause a swarm

#11
You can dig a small hole next to the Turret Controller so that the turrets cannot prevent you from hacking it.

#12
The cocoon of the dreadnought can be broken by the wave of the event machine after the successful completion of the event (only if the cocoon is close enough to the machine).

#13
It is not necessary to immediately detonate bombs that are found in such biomes as: Fungus Bogs, Dense Biozone, Magmatic Core. It is better to leave them as traps for hordes of bugs or just heavy enemies.

#14
The last ammo in the Sludge Pump is better to shoot a charged attack because you will spend only one ammo.

Common attack

Charged attack

#15
Jumping on a black box or a communicator, enemies will hit you less.

#16
When you playing as a gunner, with the help of any primary weapon, you can kill loot bugs without scattering resources, just stand in front of his back and take a couple of shots (if you make too many shots, the hole will turn out to be large and resources will not get stuck in it)

#17
To dodge the Stingtail, jump at the moment when you hear the sound of his attack or when his tail lights up red.

#18
You can slightly look around an edge you stand on by just rotating, without risk of falling down.

#19
If you proportionally damage the twins dreadnoughts, then they will not heal each other.

#20
Septic Spreader does not spill liquid if killed while frozen

#21
Scattering ice across the floor will cause freezing faster than if you were shooting in a straight trajectory.

#22
To dodge the Mactera Tri-Jaw, just take a couple of steps forward

#23
A way to quickly end the mission without waiting for M.U.L.E.: stand at the place where the drop-pod should fall(you need to stand on the edge of the funnel, otherwise you will fall under the map), and when it falls, then jump until you get inside.

#24
You can completely shave off the armor from the corruptor and instead of wasting ammo, just throw two C4. On Hazard 4, two C4 will be enough to completely kill him.

#25
You can hit the stingtail with a drill or a power pickaxe attack to stun it and avoid damage.

#26
You can remove the intro when entering the game.
To do this, go to the Movies folder (Deep Rock Galactic -> FSD -> Content -> Movies) and delete the selected files.

thanks S.H.A.M.A.N.ыч for the suggestion

#27
At the Kursite Grinder event, you can complete the event with only one stone. To do this, bind the "use" on the mouse wheel, and at the event unload the stone using the mouse wheel.

#28
You don't have to wait for Molly in a solo mission, you can enter the Drop Pod much earlier.

#29
If you stand in this place, then you will not receive damage. It is useful if Molly is far from the Drop Pod and you are too lazy to shoot back from crowds of bugs.

#30
You can shoot down the Septic Spreader spits by shooting at the spit

#31
You can create a god spot with a single C4. Just put the mule down, throw C4 at it, blow it up, and jump on top of the mule. Enemies will not be able to reach you (except for the spitters/detonators)

#32
Waiting for your like

Thank you for taking the time to read my manual. I hope your green beard has turned a little black while you've been reading.
Use these lifehacks and simplify life for yourself and other dwarves.

Beat the beetles, dont met the cave leeches. Rock and stone!

Such an amazing guide. Thanks for putting it together, making all those GIFs must have taken so much time!!
#23 is genius. Pure genius!!

Some additions/corrections for you:

#17 'the frog' is called 'Stingtail'.

#18 The description 'a small feature' is not very clear. I think you mean:
"You can slightly look around an edge you stand on by just rotating, without risk of falling down, even though it seems like you're floating in mid-air."

#20 The bug is called 'Septic Spreader'.

The flashlight can be turned on in the space rig, for whatever that's worth.

what about grabbing ledges when falling from heights to negate fall damage? difficult to pull off but life saving in some situations

Great guide, I have over 1k hours and didn't know some of these. One suggestion: Drills both stun and inflict fear on enemies, making them very useful for getting bugs off of you. They can also stunlock praetorians - the stun and fear can be inflicted at the same time, so they run away after the stun wears off.
