Iron Checkpoint Crate

It's more important than the bandicoot, it's the Iron Checkpoint Crate from the Crash Bandicoot series; Here to check you off its hitlist!

Iron Checkpoint Crate offers a zany yet dynamic kit and moveset to the table, bringing over a flurry of attacks utilizing its simplistic body and more while having a method of stage control unlike most other characters'.

Iron Checkpoint Crate can summon a decoy crate by using NSpecial or UStrong, and it will hurt anyone in its way while airborne. It can be bumped around with FSpecial, using USpecial with one out will make Crate swap places with the decoy (lest the player is holding shield during the startup), whereas using DSpecial while one is present will replace the decoy with a Nitro crate (if one isn't already on stage). Furthermore, Iron Checkpoint Crate will respawn in the decoy's place if it gets knocked out.

Iron Checkpoint Crate deploys a decoy crate, which will appear in front of itself if grounded, or below itself if airborne.

Iron Checkpoint Crate leaps forth into a somersault, and if it hits an opponent, a wall, or a decoy, it will jump up after impact and the move cannot be used again until grounded, wall jumping, or having taken a hit. If nothing is hit, then Crate will go into free fall.

Iron Checkpoint Crate revs up a bit before performing a brief spin that gives it a bit of leverage if used in the air. Unless you hold shield during the startup, this attack will swap Crate's position with its decoy while the decoy does an identical spin. The real Crate will have a visual effect over it to differentiate itself from the decoy while spinning, but this move should be good for fast travel, recovery, and mind games nonetheless.

What's a Crash Bandicoot character without explosives at this point? Iron Checkpoint Crate will deploy a Nitro Crate either in front of itself or in a decoy's place if a Nitro Crate isn't currently present, and if DSpecial is used again with a Nitro Crate present, it will trigger it to explode. The Nitro will also explode if touched by a player or a hitbox, which includes yourself and your own hitboxes, so be careful!

- Albeit a self destructive method, DSpecial's Nitro can sometimes be used as a recovery if you have enough horizontal momentum built up
- FSpecial can combo into a variety of different attacks, especially moves like FAir and USpecial
- USpecial can be a pretty good combo finisher up top
- DAir can be cancelled with airdodge or double jump if you've been airborne long enough
