Before we begin:
[Still works in 2025]

There is no perfect route, each run can be ruined by bad RNG so take that into account. For these guides, you need a basic understanding of these things
  • What Bsoda does
  • What the Chocolate Bar does
  • What the tape does
  • A basic understanding of the map (Notebook locations, exits, detention, lunchroom)

Also due to RNG, Baldi might interrupt parts of the route, so don't continue it if you are gonna get caught. I reused screenshots so don't pay attention to the items I have.
Also, go into your settings and turn on "Captions." Make sure it is set to ON, this will save games, and it's a huge help. OK, let's begin!
The First Route (Safe but Slower)
This route is a reliable route that works very often. However, due to it being slow, more things can mess you up. I used this route to beat NULL style. This is an excellent route to learn the map. It's also great practice! The two main issues are that the principal can send you to detention very early on, making the entire run screwed up. Also, playtime may interfere due to not being able to collect the safety scissors at Book 3. It follows a similar route to route 2. It is also much safer because you will have extra items at the end. Also if you take it even slower, you can get the secret!
The steps of Route 1
Here are the steps for route 1:

After getting the 2nd notebook, go down the hallway and turn to your RIGHT.
After going through the yellow doors, you should see a "School Faculty Only" door. Go through it and grab the bar.

Go through the next "School Faculty Only" door and grab the tape. Wait a bit to regain stamina before going through the last door.
Open the door and run to your right toward the room with the 3rd notebook.

Grab the 3rd Notebook.

Once you grab it, head to the detention room.

Once you get to the detention room, wait for your stamina to recharge then use the tape.
Then keep going straight. If the principal Is not near you, RUN.

After you open the yellow doors, turn left toward the 4th notebook and collect it.
After you get the 4th notebook, continue down the hallway and turn right toward the fifth notebook
. Go grab the fifth notebook and then quickly go into the lunchroom. (If you get in quick enough, the tape will end after you enter the lunch room, giving you more time)
Grab the Soda on the table
Use your quarter on the vending machine.
Now this part MAY or MAY NOT happen. If Baldi happened to be near, Bsoda him at the end of the hallway.
Now go to the 6th notebook.
Run down the hallway, and grab the 7th notebook.
Now go to the exit that is right outside.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, Baldi can come from either direction, just go to the end of the hall and bsoda him.
Let's just say Baldi comes from the lunchroom side.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Immediately run to the end of the hallway toward your 2nd exit. And Bsoda Baldi when you are at the end of the hallway. Take your time and wait for him to get close to regain your stamina. (Be as accurate as you can.

Keep going toward the exits, You don't have to worry about arts and crafts because you have a bar still. Just keep going fast and be careful of the principal. Avoid 1st prize and Playtime.
Get the 3rd exit then go into the lunchroom
Just a bit more running and you win!
-and that's how you do it.
Pros + Cons (r1)
Pros:
  • Only a few things that can screw you up (besides careless errors)
  • Good for learning the basic map layout
  • Room for basic mistakes due to having at least 2 Bsodas (and maybe a bar if you save it)
  • Baldi isn't going to be right behind you (unless the RNG gods hate you)
  • You could POSSIBLY get the "Basics in Speedrunning" achievement
  • Good for NULL style
  • Simple and easy.
  • You can do the secret ending if you take it VERY slow.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cons:
  • One of the slower routes due to waiting for stamina regen.
  • relies a tiny bit on rng (The Principal, playtime, and where Baldi goes during the tape.
  • A bad path for the 2 other styles
Possible flaws and stuff that can happen. (R1)
NOTE: ALL OF THIS IS SITUATIONAL AND DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY RUN.

Flaw one: The Principal could catch you while in the school faculty-only area, at that point, scrap the run and retry.

Flaw 2: If you open the school faculty door that leads to the hallway too early, Baldi might cut you off, and if you are not fast, the tape would be useless. Just take a sec to regain your stamina and run to the notebook room.

Flaw 3: Once the tape is activated, and you are on your way to the 4th notebook if you didn't regain any stamina (or if you were just slow). Baldi might see you while you are trying to round the corner, making the tape useless. ( Though, this shouldn't happen. Just be swift getting around the corner. (This rarely happens, however, as I've done this route dozens of times. It happened only twice.

Flaw 4: After you get your 4th notebook Baldi might be down the hallway of the 5th notebook, which is an issue.

Flaw 5: Because you cannot grab the Safety Scissors at book 3 (unless you eat the bar, which you probably shouldn't ), Playtime and 1st prize can significantly slow you down.

Flaw 6: Not really a flaw, but more of an inconvenience, if Baldi comes from the other side when you get the last notebook, just away from him and bsoda him when you are at the end of the hall. Then get all of the exits starting with the lunchroom. (This is very situational and rarely happens)

Flaw 7: Principal existing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those are all of the big flaws I've seen so far, feel free to say any more so I can add them.
The overhead map of route 1
Colors in Chronological Order:
Red, DARK blue, green, purple, yellow, LIGHT blue, white, and orange.

This is the overhead map. (Orginal blank map was taken from Baldi's basics wiki.)

Route 2 (A bit more risky and requires a bit of luck and technique, but fast)
This route is very similar to route 1, everything is the same except for the beginning and some other stuff. This route is a bit more risky, due to Baldi always being near you. The other characters such as Playtime and The Principal also slow you down, which can end the run. In the end, you have to be careful of Arts and Crafts due to the lack of items. But if all goes well, (which it will, most likely) it is an excellent route for a speedrun and can be perfected with some practice.
Route 2 Steps
So, to start this route, the first thing you want to do is to go to the LEFT door

Once you go through the door turn left again into the closest hallway (with the supply closet)

Then regain a tiny bit of stamina- (This will help you grab the notebook and scissors faster while also making Baldi go a longer distance when you open the door) -before running into the door with the 3rd notebook, grab the safety scissors too.

After you grab the notebook, run back out into this hallway

Open the yellow swinging door and turn left toward the fourth notebook, If you did this correctly, you should've gained some distance.

After you get your 4th notebook, continue down the hallway and turn right toward the fifth notebook

Grab the notebook and enter the lunchroom, grab the Bsoda on the table

And then use your quarter from getting all notebook answers correctly at the vending machine
Baldi should either be at the entrance of the lunchroom or closer.

So now you want to use your first Bsoda at the end of the hallway here:

Once you use the Bsoda on Baldi, quickly run to the yellow doors on your left and grab the 6th notebook.

Now keep going down the hallway to the final notebook, grab the safety scissors in there too.

Now go to the first exit which should be right next to you, and go continue running down the hall (Don't go run to the end you came from, Baldi should be there)

Once you reach the end of the hall, wait for Baldi and then use the Bsoda to push him away. Then continue to the 2nd exit (Try not to look at arts and crafts).

This is the 2nd exit, continue going straight and open the yellow doors.

(Optional) You are going to come across this door on the way to the 3rd exit. If you think Baldi is going to catch you, go in and pick up the bar. After you grab the bar, head back out and keep going to the 3rd exit.

Once you reach the 3rd exit start moving to the lunchroom, and the last exit is there.

Make your way into the exit and you win!
Nice!
Pros + Cons (r2)
Pros:
  • Very Fast
  • Adrenaline rush
  • Fun
  • Easy when you get the hang of it
  • It can get you the "Basics In Speedrunning" achievement

Cons:
  • Requires some practice
  • A decent amount of luck
  • You can't make many mistakes
  • Baldi will be very close behind you during some portions (especially while grabbing the bsodas and the 6th notebook)
  • Doesn't always work on Demo Style and Party Style, due to randomized items and NULL being faster than Baldi. The only way this works in other styles is getting a bsoda early from the lunchroom/classrooms.
Possible Flaws
Here are some ways this can go wrong
Note: These do not happen every time.
Flaw 1: Principal

Flaw 2: The lack of items you have when on your way to all of the exits can screw you over. So just be careful and if you think you have time, grab the candy bar in the school faculty room right after the 2nd exit. (room where candy bar is)

Flaw 3: Baldi is going to be always following you, so you have to be fast grabbing the bsodas. Then it should be smooth sailing.

Flaw 4: In the end portion If you get slowed down too much by the principal, playtime, first prize, and the Bully. Baldi might catch up to you.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Those are all of the main issues I've seen, there are some little stuff but nothing too bad.
The Overhead map (r2)
This is the overhead map
Directions (in chronological order)
Red, DARK blue, green, yellow, Light blue, white, orange.
Other:
Purple Lines = OPTIONAL (and recommended)
Blue B = Bsoda Spots
(Raw map by the wiki: https://baldis-basics-in-education-and-learning.fandom.com/wiki/Map:Schoolhouse )
Conclusion
These are the 2 routes I use most in classic style, they've turned out to be very effective. Tell me your favorite route, and put it in the comments! Anyway, I hope this helped! I might make a complete guide.

It's not compatible with Free Run since Baldi isn't there when it's enabled. This includes the other styles

Used the first route for NULL style and after a bit of practice I did it first try! Thanks for the guide!

PurpleBBQ, Candy bars do NOT stop arts and crafts. Obtaining the candy bar is simply something to pick up as a precaution. So if you look at Arts and crafts, you'll have the candy bar to escape when you get teleported. Hope this helped :steamhappy:
