Feeding your turtle in aquatic water will give the turtle a drink while eating and it helps the turtle digest its food. The temperature of the water should be kept between 77-79 degrees, or else the turtle will lose its appetite.

Feed as much as would fit into your turtles body, excluding the neck! It's recommended to use the method for the protein-based part of the diet only, which includes pellets, live feeders, snails, crickets and worms and other used proteins. Feed greens and aquatic plants as much as your turtle wants to eat.

Ask a vet if you want accurate estimates for how much your turtle should eat before attempting to follow these estimates.

• Hatchlings should get a balanced meal of 50% of greens and 50% of live prey and/or pellets. (Feed everyday).

Now the adults should have about a 70%-80% of greens and not more than 50% of protein (live prey, pellets, etc.) Adult turtles should go for more greens than proteins. (Feed every 2-4 days).
