ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ
"Even though it's not the best plane on the workshop anymore, it's still devastatingly deadly."

The first of the F/X-Series, the Nemesis marks a major turning point for Vector Dynamics, both in terms of our design philosophy and our reputation as Defense Contractor.

The Nemesis was originally developed by Vector Dynamics during the interim period between the 4th and 5th Corporate Wars as a technology demonstrator aircraft inspired by the legendary FC-35. However, as the 5th Corporate War began without warning and our outdated JP-Series proves painfully inadequate in a modern battlefield, a decision was made to rush the F/X-8 development process and use the airframe as an Air Superiority Fighter.

In a surprising twist of fate compared to our previous models, the F/X-8 turned out much better than we had originally expected, dominating the skies of Sawyer Island throughout the 5th Corporate War thanks to its superior speed, maneuverability and weapon payload. Survivors of the war either loved the F/X-8 because it was on their side, or dreaded it as they were forced to fight against it.

Nowadays, Nemesis-model F/X-8s are still a staple within Vector Dynamics' private security force and the airforce of major superpowers, though they are being actively phased out in exchange for the much more powerful Revenant Variant. This particular Nemesis model is modernized with improved systems and modernized munitions.

Flight Characteristics
The Nemesis uses an improved model of the Vector Dynamics Universial Flight Control System, granting it Autopilot and Altitude hold capabilities as well as improved stability. A highly complex, highly powerful HEXFLARE DC-26 Ramjet-Turbofan engine powers the Nemesis, granting it a top speed of 370m/s in lower atmosphere. Furthermore, a pair of PV-3 nanoscale thrust-vectoring nozzles allows the Nemesis to be incredibly maneuverable, capable of pulling over 60Gs in a sustained turn.

Additionally, the increased efficiency of the HEXFLARE DC-26 engine paired with an internal fuel tank capable of holding over 30,000 Liters of fuel allows the Nemesis to cruise at maximum throttle for over 20 minutes and loiter for hours in lower throttle settings. A quantum-suspended APU provides power to the vital systems of the Nemesis, allowing these systems to stay active almost indefinitely.

Armaments
The original Nemesis features a powerful, albeit outdated set of munitions that are unfortunately becoming increasingly inadequate in the modern battlefield. As such, this version of the Nemesis utilizes an overhauled weapon loadout, including...
  • 1 Integrated IRAC-8 30mm Rotary Autocannon with 1600 rounds of HE/IC ammunition.
  • HACM-2 "Starstrike" Anti-Chaff AG/ASMs
  • STDM-10 "Firestreak" Multirole missiles
  • SRAA-10 "Shiv" Short-range Multirole missiles
  • QAAM-6 Aim-9G Air-To-Air Missiles
Even though the Nemesis' speed alone renders most conventional missiles useless against it, it nevertheless comes equipped with 102 chaff countermeasure launchers to defend itself against high target-level missiles.

Similarly to the Scimitar, the Nemesis uses an in-house FCS instead of the E.H.C.S system to allow for more munition loads.

Systems
Since Vector Dynamics is an Aerospace Defense Contractor, not a software developer, the Nemesis still primarily uses third-party softwares, such as the MFD monitors, which are from the Kishi, as well as the NNTC FLIR Pod and an older version of NNTC datalink. The HUD is a mixture of the widely-popular HEVS HUD and the Lead Computing Optical Sight. The F/X-8 is also the first plane to be integrated with a MAD RC-FCS Rotary Cannon Control System that allows for a much more responsive control of the main gun.

As always, the canopy, landing gear controls, PV-Series Thrust Vectoring Controls as well as the FCS are developed in-house by Vector Dynamics' R&D department.

Even though this aircraft is technically outdated, due to some of its sensitive systems still being in use by modern Vector Dynamics Fighters, you do need to read through our Terms and Conditions, as well as agree to our non-compete agreement in order to purchase this aircraft. Furthermore, You are authorized to modify the Nemesis as you see fit, but you are not allowed to resell the modified version as your own product.

As always, Vector Dynamics is not responsible for any damage, casualty or loss of resources caused by:
Attempting to mount munitions incompatible to our existing hardpoints;
Attempting to fire mounted munitions while doing high-G maneuvers;
Reckless behaviors of the pilot;
Reckless behaviors of the pilot caused by the false sense of security provided by our auto-flare features.
Attempting to use this aircraft as a submarine. The Canopy is still not watertight!

Vector Dynamics is also not responsible for any war crimes, human right violations, criminal activities or acts of terrorism caused by the use of our product. Vector Dynamic is also not responsible for any world-ending events caused by mentally unstable mercenary/peacekeeper pilots using our product. Remember, If it's out of our hands, it's none of our business anymore!

>>GH0ST: The gear automatically closes based on distance from the ground, but there is an instrument panel (The one with a number on it) that overrides it. 0 is normal, automatic mode, 1 is forced close and 2 is forced open.

>>Alright, a new version of the Nemesis is out and I'm sorta back from my hiatus, the HUD issue is finally fixed and some outdated systems have been accordingly updated. I'm working on integrating my munitions and this plane with the new EHCS system, expect that to be done sometimes this month.

@amcervantes80 I am currently taking an haitus from the game, but be assured that once I return I would start posting again, perhaps including an F-45 Killswitch. (It's a pretty cool plane but there are technical limitations I'll have to work around)
