I never could finish OG RE4 to the end, so the fact that I have done 3 playthroughs of this already and feel comfortable saying that THIS should be able to keep the Resident Evil 4 title without having finished the original release seems presumptuous, but I cant help but find this just flawless.
In comparison, while DOOM 2016 is great and a modern take on DOOM, we still call it DOOM 2016 because you just cant beat or touch the legacy of the original shareware release.
Though I dont get why anyone would complain about the game being "too long"?
I mean, the game is approximately 12/15 hours for average players, for someone who never finished the original one it took me around 14 hours, doing all the side quests and shooting range ofc, as well as gathering all treasures on a standard playthrough.
I mean after having played re3 remake, which I finished in around 5h, I was really worried that this game would be short, so yeah I guess I'm pretty happy with the 14 hours.
Again for the length of the game, if you compare it to look alike games, they're all around 15/20 hours playthrough so yeah, I think re4 remake really nailed it!
