The flipper part was an actual puzzle, not just a confusing and elaborate way of nauseating the player.

The grid bounce does have a physical explanation: Jump hard enough and it will give way slightly so you get in contact with the bounce gel. Probably a glitch programmatically speaking thogh.

The grid behavior is strange. But a good map. This map has the same name as Timetodie 42. If you lke bouncing, please try my "Seeing Blue" map.

I don't understand why the author made up his own rule that grid is bounce-able. Was it to fake out the player who believes from experience that grids are not bounce-able? Funny thing is, if you stand on the grid and bounce, it doesn't work. Only if you jump from the ledge or launch out of the portal. A sort of contradictory rule invented for this map.
