Description:

Adol arrives in the Prison City of Balduq, but is quickly arrested due to the bad blood between him and Romn. When he tries to escape the prison, a woman named Aprilis drafts him to help her fight off the Lemures demons in order to protect Balduq, though he's also going to investigate the mysteries of the city and why the demons appeared in the first place.

The Prison Rescue quest looks very rewarding, but it's kind of a time commitment compared to other quests. We need to get intel from inside the prison, so first, Adol has to get a tabloid as part of a later exchange.

7:36 Balduq Prison Watchtower

Greg is a corrupt guard who was most likely bribed by Maxim. He enlists the prison Adol to find the information about the layout and security, since the guards are only informed about their own sections.

Adol will find a floor plan, as well as a Roo, Xavier.

14:34 West Dumping Ground

This dungeon has traps that can kill both Adol and any enemy unlucky enough to be caught in them. The robot enemies are powerful and can only be hurt by traps, but they can also survive several hits. You have the option to skip the entire section if you die, but I managed to finish it fair and square. Remember that unlike Ys 8, enemy positions don't reset upon loading a save.

Adol finds more intel and gives it to Greg, who gives him the tabloid from earlier.

The Crimson King now has a chance to prepare before using the intel to his advantage.

For some reason, Hawk joins here, and for the rest of the chapter.

The party finds the prisoner in the office. She's an assassin, Iris, who seeks to kill Cardinal Lindheim.

Iris reluctantly joins the Dandelion and helps out with the raids.

Now that Credo/Hawk is in the party, you should look for his character-specific graffiti to get a stat boost.

The client is actually the Peeping Tom pretending to be a concerned citizen. He has some connections to a criminal group though.

Although the four giant toads are at level 27, they shouldn't be too hard with a full party. Plus, you can always retreat to the healing point outside the arena whenever you want.
