Originally a heavyweight kickboxer from Haiti, Ismael Montagne moved to France to learn the grappling art of jiu-jitsu. From there he befriended Michel Duchamps, who offered him the opportunity to display his talents infront of a live audience in Japan, representing ARTS Europe alongside him. Naturally, for someone like him who craves competition from around the world, it was too good a proposition to turn down.
