In the hours between Half-Life 2 and Entropy : Zero 2, the rebels at Arbeit contact White Forest in a bid to solve an old mystery...



This is a short map intended to demonstrate how 11.ai (a voice synthesis program which can "clone" voices from external samples) can be used to create completely new in-universe scenes featuring Half-Life 2's original characters. It has no gameplay and only serves as a story setpiece.

In Entropy : Zero 2, at the beginning of Venture Ghost, the Arbeit rebel leader ("Radio Guy") is heard in a recording mentioning that he got into an argument with the "biggest names in the Resistance", who are strongly implied to be Eli, Judith, and other major characters from Half-Life 2. This map tries to bring that scene to life and show what Radio Guy and the Resistance science team might've said to each other.

Note that this is NOT an official Breadmen production. This is my own personal project and was created without any other developer's involvement, aside from Breadman's permission to use his unfinished map as a base.




FAQ

There are some voices I don't recognize
A few of the NPCs are voiced by 11.ai's "pre-made" voices instead of being cloned from existing sources. While the cloned voices demonstrate how 11.ai can be used to choreograph HL2's characters, the pre-made voices demonstrate how 11.ai can be used to create completely new characters.

Is this "canon" to Entropy : Zero 2's lore?
This is a personal project and it's not officially part of anything, but it is based on discussions we had internally regarding how E:Z2 intertwines with Half-Life 2's episodes and what Judith's motives and characterization would be behind the scenes, so it may resemble how it could have been done "officially".

So, if you want this to be "canon", then you can consider it to be canon unless we do something in the future which contradicts it.

ive been reading comments and it looks like the AI voices sometimes sounds weird, so i maked in my head a reasonable reason of hy that happens, and it's because they are talking in a TV lol.

The only off one for me was the male NPC that says "Well, I guess that went swimmingly" and the NPC that upon entering the building uses the voice the TikTokers have overused and sounded funny for me

While I'm conflicted on the use of ai voices, in this case, It's fine and unless you found people who are great a impressions, not like there was any other option.
