To reach the Entrance Hall, fast travel to the grand staircase. Facing away from the floo flames and the grand staircase, go up the stairs on the left (the spiral staircase going down will be on your right). Continue straight down the stairs until you're in front of the house hourglasses. Go through the doors on the left and you'll be in the Entrance Hall

It's a nice guide, but some of these are painful to figure out since the in-game map doesn't help at all. North Hall, for example, isn't listed in the map and no real clues about where it is located is provided. A little more hand-holding with the directions might be helpful.

For anyone not interested in, like me, spending 20 minutes looking for the "North Hall", fast travel to the Bell Tower Wing > Bell Tower Courtyard, take a right up the stairs through the south west door and up the next set of stairs. The key is outside the History of Magic classroom door.

I'm very confused where the entrance hall is

Central Hall's the big room right outside the library. the slytherin dungeon has a door that leads right into it, the massive double doors in the Transfiguration Courtyard lead to it, from Hogwarts doors that you go through to get to hogsmeade if you go inside those and straight left it's a direct shot to central hall. hope that helps, but if not i can give directions from anywhere in Hogwarts
