BNSF with 99 Double Stack Containers and 3+3 Engines

Evolution Series
The Evolution Series is a line of diesel locomotives built by GE Transportation Systems (now owned by Wabtec), initially designed to meet the U.S. EPA's Tier 2 locomotive emissions standards that took effect in 2005. The first pre-production units were built in 2003. Evolution Series locomotives are equipped with either AC or DC traction motors, depending on the customer's preference. All are powered by the GE GEVO engine.

The Evolution Series was named as one of the "10 Locomotives That Changed Railroading" by Trains Magazine and was the only locomotive series introduced after 1972 to be included in that list.

The Evolution Series locomotives are some of the best-selling and most successful freight locomotives in United States history.

GEVO in Cities: Skylines
Despite some of you would consider me as a European-centric train maker on WS, GEVO is one of my favorite US locomotive of all times. It was originally planned to be made for Railway 2 release but I decided to focus on networks themselves, thus I abandonned the idea of making US freight train for the release. Evangeline later on proposed to make DDAX for the release instead. Last year I got the request of making GEVO again, but this time I decide to see it to the end.

GEVO took about 3 months of work that includes mesh and textures and it is one of the most complex train I did for CSL so far. I hope you like the final product just as I enjoyed making it.

This train was the result of the commission request by Da Boss Hoss, so thanks goes to them as well.

Container cars were also made by Nostrix, as a result of previous collab on DDAX.

"BNSFpiercer 6252, 99 Cars Long."
- This is a dummy train that is 1:1 length of a double stack container consist, which is common to see in US railroads. Entire train is 3 engines + 99 container cars + 3 engines when train is on reverse. There are total of 169 trailers in this unit, making it -possibly- the largest consist made for Cities: Skylines, to a degree that it is larger than the one tile.

- I made it dummy train so you can have a control on how to and where to spawn it. Use AVO and disable spawning so only you can set it spawn on custom lines you make.

- Good luck and have fun.

Features
- BNSF version of ES44AC 'GEVO'
- 3 engines consist on forward motion, 3 if train is reversed
- Maxi IV double stack container cars, 99 units long.
- Directional headlights with Additive Shader.
- 1:1 scale, fits under R2 USA wires.

Texture and Material Share
- All engines share the same texture to improve your RAM performance.
- The final load on RAM should be around 12MB, if you already have containers from previous release.

It's a dummy train, so it using passenger train AI. they will carry no cargo or passenger, they're purely made for aesthetic reason to spice up your railway network.

It's unreasonable from my end to make these as cargo trains because they will clog the network if they're left unchecked.

There are functional cargo train version in GEVO collection, which are under in cargo trains collection and do not contain words of "dummy", that's the word we use for fake cargo trains.

@REVO How do I use this in game? How do i use this train instead of the basic cargo trains? Also will this be considered cargo train in game, or will it operate as a passenger train?

Unfortunately, it appears to be categorized as a passenger train and spawns on intercity trains, clogging traffic at my central station even when I prohibit freight trains from the tracks connecting to the station. I had to unsubscribe. It is a great looking train, but this issue creates considerable passenger congestion within my rail system.

@REV0 you could try going to the Transport Fever 2 American modding discord and asking if anyone has models they'd be willing to share. I bet you could find some good ones that people would let you use.

@dranna

Dummy consist is a train using passenger train AI in cities skylines. that way you can setup a custom train line to assign the train for visuals, as it's not possible to setup a custom freight line.

There's a severe lack of freight cars i can use on Workshop - they're either wrongly scaled or they're too old in terms of years they're built IRL. So it will take a while until I make necessary variants aside double stacks. Next variants will have tankers

Will there be a mixed freight version of the this?

What is a 'dummy consist'?
