Noise and Visibility Distance Guide
By Sovontor
Accuracy of these distance are debated.
Distance varies per animal - Look through the Codex in game and see what animals are more sensitive to what senses.

Visibility

The lowest visibility, the very thin line "-" allows you to be perfectly hidden until an animal is within 5M
The next is the brighter thicker line "_", this is 10M
The semi-circle will be 25m
The diamond is 50-75M
The full circle will be 100-200M.

Sound
Each WHITE sound bar increases by 10; White bars go 10,20,30.
Each RED sound bar increases by 50; Red bars go 50,100,150.

Shooting firearms will be 300M
Placing tents, blinds, or stands will be 300M
ATVs will be 300M.

Take this all with a grain of salt, there are no confirmed numbers for any of these, the game's wiki has nothing on it for the estimated ranges, these numbers come from users rough estimates.

I think it can depend on the animals senses, for example the red fox has "excellent vision and very good hearing" so those factors probably multiply depending on the animal.
I believe you can see what animals are more sensitive to what in the index.

For easier animals I would say the stats I posted are fairly true. But again nobody knows for sure because the official wiki does not give specifics, these are just estimated distances from what people say they experience the most.

From experience the sound thing seems to be much more, maybe 30m per one white bar? Or 25m? Third white bar definitely spooks everyone around 85m for me. Some animals even farther away, like up to 150m.

I think the sound white bars are actually 50 meters, while the first red bar is 150.
No evidence, only experience.

I think fast travelling spooks animals within a radius of about 200m. I never thought that placing tents and ground blinds would spook animals.
