and he is your current enemy. Why? Maybe because he is the bad guy or something ORRRRRRR.... you cannot beat him [also he isn't really the bad guy, it is actually kind of complicated and spoiler-y].

You will need to at least have these things:
-6 or 7 masks
-coiled nail
-shade cloak [dash]
-monarch wings [double jump]
-2 soul vessels
-a few spells

You got all that? Yes? You will already have most of these. Okay so let's go to charms now.

Not all of the charms are that I mention are equipped in that screenshot by the way.

-dash master- this charm, found in Fungal Wastes beside a statue, is extremely useful and can help you dodge danger.

-fragile heart/unbreakable heart-good if you don't have enough masks as it will give you two hearts. It can be bought from Leg Eater in Fungal Wastes.

-lifeblood heart-Pretty much the same as fragile heart but worse and It is bought from Salubra in Forgotten Crossroads.

-quick focus- Also bought from Salubra in Forgotten Crossroads, quick focus can help you heal quicker during the time he is down or far away, finishing up an attack.

-hive blood- This one is a lot harder to get and you have to find The Hive in Kingdoms Edge and kill The Hive Knight for it. The Hive is a harder area but The Hive Knight is actually not that bad. It slowly heals the last mask that has been destroyed.

There are a lot more helpful charms but that is a good few helpful charms.

] I know he isn't the hardest fight, but he can kill you.
first of all let's go over his attacks.

-Three strikes: Just jump over him and pogo on him. Pretty easy to dodge.


-Sword dash: Same again, Jump and pogo over him.

-Block: DON'T hit him. Turn around if you accidentally swing. Even when the little flash of light goes, they can still parry and strike you. In case you hit them by accident, shadow dash through their attack.

-[annoying] Jump: This isn't really an attack. He will jump around and will hit you sometimes. Just dash quickly out of the way.

-Getting knocked down: Like every other boss, if you deal enough damage, he will fall on his knees. This happens a few times for the whole fight and you should heal during this time.

That is all his attack around the start. He keeps these attacks in the other phases, so keep that in mind.

So you are in the second part of it. Good job! Now to know his other attacks.

-Self stab: He will stab himself randomly for lore reasons. Heal during this time or join in on stabbing him.

-Infection shooting slowly upwards: This is an easy attack to dodge. You will need to either pogo over him, shadow dash through the projectiles or go far away enough so you don't get hit by it.

-A blast of infection: So basically, this looks annoying to dodge, but it isn't that much. Stand Not underneath but slightly to the side. Here you won't get hit as much because all the projectiles here will arch in a way that doesn't instantly hit the floor. Pretty much every single 'important to the story' boss has an attack like this that really shows it is intense and stuff.

-Body slam: He will go into the air and slam onto the ground. This is easy to dodge, just dash when he is nearing the ground.

-Nail slam: He will slam the ground with his nail and bursts of flame will erupt from the ground. Don't dash as that is too much movement and you will take damage, so just walk a bit. Also this does double damage unlike the other attacks.
