Assassin's Creed Unity Draw distance and visual improvements (unmodded)
By Zeptomonkey
1. You will need to locate the config file by going to your documents folder and finding the file named "Assassins creed Unity" open the
folder and then open the config file called "ACU".

2. Search for a line labled "EnvironmentQuality=4" set this to 5 the difference is not drastic but it can help improve the distance of things
that are close to you such as grass, leaves, etc.

3. Look for a line called "TextureQuality=2" set this value to 3 it can really help with distant objects being more 3 dimensional. Close up
textures are also improved a bit from my experience.

4. Add these two lines MinSkipMipTextureSize=0 and MipMapsToSkipCharacter=0 under the [Graphics] section of the config file. these two values adjust these settings can be set to 0, 128, 512. 0 provides the highest quality but will use more system memory. 512 is the lowest quality and makes textures look a bit blurry but can help for machines with lower memory.

5. Add the line DistanceLOD=0. this value increases the render distance a surprising amount when set to 0 increasing this value lowers the distance that objects will be rendered at full quality which will improve performance at the cost of visual fidelity.

6. Set the Config file to "Read Only" otherwise it will just overwrite the file

Note: this option whilst it does improve quality uses more system memory. This guide is also a work in progress please give me any feedback on anything i might have missed

Hello guitar player sorry for the late reply. You can set the file to read only by right clicking it, click on the box next to "read only" on the pop up window then click apply on the bottom left of that window. hope this helps
