Objective System - HL2 Campaign

Objective System adds a bunch of text to the corner of the screen. Oh, and it also adds in markers that update as you progress.

The text changes and stuff
The text will trigger a "Objective Complete" or "Objective Failed" prompt, depending on what happened. There's also a ridiculous amount of more-or-less complicated triggers to ensure the text updates based on events inside the map. Things may-or-may not break.

With each objective complete, failed, or changed, the text will automatically delete and update based on code-based delays and map-based location triggers.

Oh look, an escort mission
For maps that include companions (Father Grigori in Ravenholm, Alyx in Nova Prospekt, Barney in City-17), their health will also be displayed in the objectives tab, along with a bright green marker over their head (You can disable this.)

This feature is a little dodgy because of inconsistent performance, but it works well enough.

Wait, there's Side Objectives?
Oh yeah, that thing. For some of the early maps, stash locations will trigger a "Side Objective" text. It's mainly just for flair, and it basically never comes back after the Canals chapter.

Oh and the green markers signify objects of interest or secret stash locations.

Settings aswell
All the options you need to bother with are located in the settings menu. Also, for the "Reset Objectives" button. It's basically mandatory that you perform a map cleanup alongside it. The code relies on stuff in the map, so if you reset the objectives without refreshing the map things wont work.

You can also enable/disable an option that triggers an objective reset on player death.
