Straight out of the box this game worked for me only the first time i booted it up, after that it always got stuck showing the Dosbox logo.

To get the game running follow these steps:

How to get it running!
  1. Navigate to the folder you have the game installed (Example: G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\An Elder Scrolls Legend Battlespire)
  2. Find the folder called "DOSBox-0.73" and rename it to "Backup" (do not delete it, we later need to copy some files from it)
  3. Download the latest version of DOSBox SVN Daum from here Github link [github.com] (Download the xxxxxxx_win.7z version)
  4. In the gamefolder create a new folder and name it "DOSBox-0.73"
  5. Extrakt the downloaded files into the newly created "DOSBox-0.73" folder
  6. Go the the previous renamed Backup folder and copy " bs_client.conf ", " bs_server.conf " and " bs_single.conf " and paste them into the newly created DOSBox-0.73 folder
  7. Done, your game should now work!

Thank you. This worked for Battlespire. I'm having the same problem with Arena, but the files are different and I haven't seen any posts of people having the same issue.

This pretty much solves the issue with getting the game to play in widescreen without black bars.
Any tips on improving the fps tho ?
