Controller not working FIX

What's up people?

In this simple guide, you'll learn how to fix what Ubisoft, for some reason, broke on the Steam release.

Disclaimer: I tried this method with a Xbox Series S/X controller and worked like a charm, but had no effect with a Dualsense. Oh, and my O.S is Windows 10, ymmv.

If you know any methods for other controller/s let me know in the comments.

Method
It's simple as:
1. Right click on "Immortal Fenyx Rising" on the library.
2. Go to properties, and from there, to "Controller".
3. In "Override for Immortal Fenyx Rising" just select "Disable Steam Input".

And that's it! Simple as that!

It doesn't work for Switch pro Controller. Is there any guide how to map controls using steam config for this game?

This seems to have suddenly broken again. The fix was working fine until 2 days ago then suddenly the game fails to register my x-box controller at all. Steam sees it, Ubi connect sees it. I've tried using all the controller setting options, I reinstalled the game, I've tried different USB ports, checked for updated drivers. Nothing. It seems to detect it right at the beginning as I can skip the intro videos, it even says press A to start. Then once you get to the actual menu screen only keyboard and mouse work, its like the controller isn't even plugged in. If anyone has some ideas would be appreciated. 19 hours in, would have liked to have finished the game.

Either the game/launcher conflicts with Steam's controller config support or Ubisoft didn't bother to set a default configuration.
