By Lazaron
This guide covers one of the easiest and laziest strategies to beat the game. It centers around a very simple strategy, but goes in depth for those that want additional detail.

TLDR;
Make a character with a bow and light armor. Use the Light Shield ability and when it ends, simply cast another. Proceed to right click enemies to death.
Basic Strategy in Detail
Bow
Able to kill enemies at range before they even do damage to you. No need to chase down enemies. Drink The Typhoon can one-shot entire rooms and can be abused to hit enemies you can't even see. Shellbreaker Shot is a boss destroyer. Stick And Move can be used to get away when in danger.

Light Armor
Use Light Shield. Always. It costs very little stamina and can increase your effective HP by 2-3x times depending on your gear. It also prevents many nasty status effects like bleed. Once you enchant your gear with various magic resists, you become unkillable to anything around your level.

Melee
Dual wield. This allows you to one-shot enemies that get too close. Dashing Charge is useful as a second movement ability in case your Stick and Move is on cooldown.
Stats and Gear
Stats
Put all points equally into Stremf, Skills and Science. Stremf helps HP, stamina and melee. Skills increases ranged damage and dodge. Science makes your Light Shield able to absorb more damage and gives magic resist.

Gear
Use the highest star gear you can find. Enchant each piece with multiple scrolls until the game tells you it is maxed. Use an upgrade hammer to improve magic resistance with whatever level of resources you can spare. You should try to have some resistance of every magic type. At end-game try to focus either Starlight or Dread Purple damage. Gear can give you a big boost to these damage types.
Pets, Perks and Honorable Mention Skills
Pets
Use a Ranged Tough pet. Melee pets spend too much time doing nothing or attacking single targets. Teach your pet ranged attacks. Shellbreaker Shot, Bees Please and Star Spray are all great choices. Feed them every rare steak you find. Pets have a "Pluck" stat that increases with each rare steak you feed them. "Pluck" is a passive stat that makes your pet take more damage and deal more damage the higher it goes.

Perks
Always choose World Champion. The main way you get more powerful is Proof of Stremf which can be used to increase your stats. You get Proof of Stremf from killing Champions, so you want as many of them to fight as you can. The 2nd Perk can be whatever you like, but I like Tireless as it allows you to constantly use Drink The Typhoon to clear rooms at endgame.

Banners
If you've maxed all the skills you need, then banners can make a great final choice. You won't need them for most encounters, but they make a huge difference for lengthy boss encounters or big open fights.

Cartography
Max this out in at least one playthrough so you can find the Ancient Starlight Temple. Radiant Starshards you find are stored in the Academy above the Headmaster whenever you talk to him. Take them from the pedestal above him to the Ancient Starlight Temple to enchant 4 and 5 star endgame gear. If you have more Radiant Starshards than you know what to do with, you can enchant your pet to give them more Pluck stat.
General Tips
Pay Attention to Enemy Level
Be cautious when exploring a new dungeon. The further you delve, the higher level enemies become. This means you could be fighting enemies below your level when you start, but facing a boss far above your level at the end. Don't be afraid to leave and come back if you notice enemies are getting difficult.

If you die, take the time to look at the details tab. It is quite helpful in understanding why you died and what you could have done differently.

Chronicles of Renown Unwritten
Dungeon Sense allows you to find Secret Doors. Secret Doors sometimes lead to Ancient Kings. Ancient Kings sometimes drop Chronicles of Renown Unwritten. You want this. Place it on a 5 star bow and your enemies will tremble before you. Your weapon will grow in power with each Ancient King killed. By the end of the game, I had a bow that one-shot enemies 5 levels higher and also gave me an extra 1,500 HP. You really want this scroll.

Help! I Did Everything You Said and Died!
Yep, welcome to the game. You were trying to fight something far more powerful than you or you got sloppy with your Light Shield/Stamina management. Think about what you could have done differently and try again. Were you using potions? Did you use your movement abilities? Was the enemy much higher level? The good news is you'll have way more Proof of Stremf to start your next run, so you'll be back to where you were in no time! :)

In Closing
This guide isn't meant to be exhaustive or suggest it's the most powerful build. It is meant to highlight a lazy strategy that only requires casting Light Shield to win. No complicated paying attention to using abilities at the right time or mechanics, just use your stamina for Light Shield as you plink enemies with your trusty bow. Feel free to add your tips and comments below!

Thank you for the guide. It's good for a newbie like myself. Aside from bow, melee, light armor, dungeon sense, which other skills would you recommend is good for the Rangermans?

Psychomancy is very OP combined with this strategy.
