Holy ♥♥♥♥ it has been years since I've even touched this... however there is something that has come to my attention.

A commenter by the name of "The Great Warper" has posted this in the comments of this guide

This is a new and much more efficient way of changing your playermodel

But for old times sake I will keep the console means up in case you want to do that

activating the console

to activate the console go to options then keyboard then go to advanced the click the check box on activate console and there the consol has been activated

going to the console and doing it manually

Type in cl_playermodel and here are the different player models

models/combine_soldier.mdl
models/combine_soldier_prisonguard.mdl
models/combine_super_soldier.mdl
models/police.mdl
models/humans/group03/female_01.mdl
models/humans/group03/female_02.mdl
models/humans/group03/female_03.mdl
models/humans/group03/female_04.mdl
models/humans/group03/female_06.mdl
models/humans/group03/female_07.mdl
models/humans/group03/male_01.mdl
models/humans/group03/male_02.mdl
models/humans/group03/male_03.mdl
models/humans/group03/male_04.mdl
models/humans/group03/male_05.mdl
models/humans/group03/male_06.mdl
models/humans/group03/male_07.mdl
models/humans/group03/male_08.mdl
models/humans/group03/male_09.mdl
so far that is all I could find online I will try to put in moded models like the delphox model or something like that

@captain ketchup, go into your options menu (specifically 'Keyboard') click on the button that says "advanced..." then click "Enable Developer Console"

@greatwarper you do realize that I wrote this 4 years before that was even a thing right?

obviously if there are better more up to date solutions please use those

but again I wrote this guide in 2014, that game banana mod came out in 2018
