So Malekith is Darth Vader, right? We're all agreed he's basically Darth Vader? Maybe he could be played by Christopher Eccleston too.

Controversial opinion: I quite liked Malekith becoming Phoenix King in the End Times, but thought it could have been handled better. Maybe instead he could have got a direct line to Aenarion saying "Listen here, you oedipal son-of-a-gun, you're getting this job because you are technically the most skilled person for the job in the specific circumstance of trying to avoid the literal end of the world. You're on short shrift and I will turn the burn scars back on if you get back to your usual tricks. Don't screw this up." Could've been interesting.

Four skills for Malekith the Witch-King, all based on lore
Guards of Naggarond boosts Black Guard and basic infantry, nice in the early game and into the late with Darkshards
Witch-King's Favour tries to make Cold One Chariots more viable
Tower Masters further beefs up Black Guard - I always found them rather fragile
Spawn of Sulekh lets Malekith do his best Imrik impression

End times messed it up when they said all the phoenix kings were doomed to fail .. How do they explain the good ones then?
