New Solution:

• Install the Latest Graphics Driver (Nvidia Graphics Cards)

In 4th of April 2023, Developers have released a patch for the game which fixes the game crash.


Old Solution Before the Patch:

• Install / Roll Back to 522.25 or 518.48 Graphics Driver Version (Nvidia Graphics Cards)

Enter the link here[www.nvidia.com] and select your graphics card and download 522.25 driver version. If installing that graphics driver didn't help you, try installing 517.48 version instead.

• Delete TargetHardwareProfiler.dll File

Right click your Forza Horizon 4 game in the steam library and click "Properties...". After that, click on the "Installed Files" tab and inside this section, click the "Browse..." button. You will see the game's files. Look for the "TargetHardwareProfiler.dll" file, delete it and turn on the game.

• Turning on Bluetooth

In the bottom right corner, click the notification icon and after that a tab should appear. On the bottom of the tab turn on Bluetooth setting.

• Turning on Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth Adapters

Go to Windows Settings -> Network & Internet -> Change Adapter Options -> turn on every single adapter.

• Check If the Time and Date are Correct

In the bottom right corner you will see your time and date. Right click on it and press 'Adjust date / time' after that make sure that both options, the 'Set time automatically' and 'Set time zone automatically' are turned on. When you've done it, also press 'Sync now' on the 'Synchronize your clock' option.

• Turn off Antivirus

If you are using Windows 10 Pro antivirus, go to Windows Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Security -> Virus & Threat Protection -> On the bottom click 'manage settings' -> Disable Real-time protection option.

• Install Visual C++ Files

Enter the link here[learn.microsoft.com] and scroll down until you see "Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022" and then download and install X86 and X64 architectures.

• Clear Standby Memory

Your game might crash randomly because of your RAM memory. To fix it, click the link here and please follow KraFourZee's guide.

• Kill explorer.exe Process

When launching the game, open task manager and kill explorer.exe process. If you wish to exit the game via Alt + Tab, press Ctrl + Alt + Del and then click 'Task Manager' after that click 'File' in the top left corner and then click 'Run new task' and type 'explorer.exe' and press enter.

• Kill Audio Input Services

Press Windows + R buttons and type "msconfig" and press enter. Go to "Services" tab and look for something like "Nahimic service" and "Realtek Audio Universal Service" and disable it.
