Overview
NOTE - I WILL TRY TO REGULARLY UPDATE IT AS CONTENT COMES OUT.
NOTE #2 - Sections about a DPS Guardian is being worked on, as are general boss strategies for most heroes.

I will go over the 7 hero classes that currently have the best potential for dealing huge amounts of damage. Squire and Rogue have a high damage potential coupled with great survivability, Summoner has a bit lower, but still good damage and survivability and he can serve as a support hero. Monk, while he can deal a good amount of damage, he is usually more useful as support for the other heroes and is not so strong on his own. EV-A and Huntress are a high risk, high reward builds which can surpass the Squire and Rogue in terms of DPS but die easily.
At the end of each section, I will give show you stats on my heroes and show you the damage output I am able to achieve, coupled with a general strategy on how to tackle bosses with the provided builds, and also categorize which bosses it's good to fight with the build ('Good Targets"), which are OK to fight with the build ("Neutral Targets") and which you shouldn't fight with the class because the risk of death is too large ("Bad Targets").

If you know of a build that is strong and is not listed here, feel free to describe it in the comments. I will add it here with proper credit.
Squire
The squire will get his DPS from the Spinning Steel weapon/offhand set. This basically means five times the damage he would do with his regular circular slice. As the Squire also has the highest HP scaling in the game, combined with the increased armor cap Blood Boil gives him (95%), the squire can be very hard to kill.

Stats
You will have to experiment with this and find what suits you the most. If you don't have enough health, you should put the points into vitality, but otherwise it should go to ability. The target health you should be aiming for is around 1.2 million, but if it would decrease your damage by a lot, you can get by with just 1 million.

Weapon
There are only two viable weapons for a DPS squire - The Protean Slicer and Wolfsbane Smasher, the latter usually being stronger. You are looking for a weapon with the highest damage per-hit, not the highest DPS. Faster weapons usually have better DPS, but they do less damage per hit - since Spinning Steel scales off of damage per hit, they are not a good choice.

Offhand
Best shield would give you bonus on all three stats plus a damage bonus on swords. Good thing to have is mana drain.

Runes
Critical Rage: Increases your chance of landing a critical hit (also applies to Spinning Steel projectiles). Useful if you have the rune but nothing worth farming.
Explosive Shield: Increases the damage your shield does by adding an explosion whenever it hits (resulting in two damage numbers per-hit) and also increasing the amount of bounces. Good way of dishing out extra damage or clearing out groups of lesser enemies, but nothing worth farming.

Armor
Nothing special is needed. Just give him as much armor as you can, it doesn't need to be good stat-wise. Be sure to give him an Arcanist Crown, because it has 10% rifted armor (normal helm has 5%)

Accessories
Accessories are super important for a squire. You will need a pretty high mana regen (at least 10) to sustain your blood boil while doing Circular Slices. Try to have a MP restore (Mana) at least once - this regenerates your mana when you pick up mana tokens. This is especially great when you fight a boss - you can drop your own builder mana and then collect it again for skill mana.

Pets
Best is to get a good giraffe (at least 3k all stats). You can also go with a Propeller Cat or a Monkey King. There is also a bit stranger option - use a Mista Mine. This pet can have VERY high stats (up to 5k - yes, it's possible), but it reduces your speed to half. This is where Blood Boil comes in - it increases your speed to about 130% of your normal speed. If you have high mana regeneration, you can run around the map the whole wave without Blood Boil switching off, and it boosts your stats by a lot.

Examples
  • Vitality: 7815
  • Attack: 8111
  • Ability: 8404
  • Health: 1.532 million
  • Weapon Damage per hit: 289.6k
  • Damage per Spin: 5 x 131.2 million -> ~650 million

General Boss Strategy
Activate blood rage and charge at the boss. Spam circular slice as fast as possible while slashing and throwing your shield. Try to jump around a bit so you're not such an easy target, but unless you get webbed or fall off you should be unkillable.
Good Targets: Goblin Mech, Lycan King
Neutral Targets: Demon Lord, Ancient Dragon, Dune Eater
Rogue
NOTE: This section is outdated or it does not include the strongest build.
Rogue is very versatile what concerns his fighting style. He can clear mobs (and weaker special enemies like djinns or sharkens) with ease with Carnage, he can shoot down Goblin Copters and Wyverns, and now, with the arrival of Runes, he is also a decent boss killer - he will rely on the Poison Dagger rune, and, to a lesser extent, Broadhead Rounds. Spin-to-Win is also great.

Stats
Same as the Squire - your target health should be around 1M, if you feel you have enough health, try to maintain a 1:1 ration on ability and attack.

Weapons
Strangely, the poison damage of the dagger seems to scale off of weapon DPS rather than damage. Sword DPS is responsible for 90% of the damage the dagger does, the crossbow for the other 10%, so get a good sword first. Best would be to use Wolfsbane Claymore. Make sure the weapon has attack and ability on it, other bonuses don't really matter. Try to have a Inspired Assault set but it isn't necessary.

Armor
Choice of armor depends on the fact whether you like to use Devices or not. Their damage scales off of Tower Damage, and they can also be deal Fusion damage through sets (Defenses 1 to 3). If you like to use them, get as much power as possible with a set bonus, otherwise just give him something so he doesn't run around naked. Give him an arcanist crown as well.

Accessories
Mana is not so important to the Rogue. Get some MP regen, but otherwise focus on HP regen.

Runes
Poison Dagger - Deals x% (200 at Godly rank) of weapon damage every second for x seconds. Main source of Rogue's boss damage. Try to get as high a rank as you can.
Broadhead Rounds - Deals additional damage to the target hit by ranged attacks. Does not work with the Dagger. A nice boost to the damage output but not game changing.
Spin-to-Win - Carnage deals more damage and consumes less mana. Great upgrade of an already strong ability. Use it when you have it, can be an alternative if you can't get a good poison dagger rune.
Multiple Marks - Increases the maximum number of marked enemies. Not needed for bosses.
Device runes - Useful if you have the slots, but not a priority at all. It isn't really worth the money needed to unlock higher ranks.

Pets
Girrafe or a different pet with high stats (not Mista Mine). You don't want to be very close to bosses with the rogue, so monkey king is not good. Dagger damage does not scale with propeller cat.

Examples
  • Vitality: 4286
  • Attack: 5608
  • Ability: 4913
  • Health: 902k
  • Sword DPS: 513.4k
  • Crossbow DPS: 1.201M
  • Poison Dagger Rank: Transcendent
  • Dagger Damage: 43.27M
  • Dagger DoT: 64.91M x 5
Monk
NOTE - My monk is mainly a builder since I use other heroes for DPS. This means his stats are kind of low compared to others.

Monk serves as a great support hero, but when he's alone, he can't really compare to Rogue or Squire. His biggest weapon is Hero Boost, as it greatly increases the damage of others.

Stats
Try to get at least 700k health. When you have this much, put the points into ability.

Weapon
Wolfsbane Cleaver is the best weapon for monk damage wise. Get one with Boost Attack Rate or with Boost Damage, preferably both. What concerns stats, prefer Ability and Damage. As for the sets, get either Etherian Champion or Inspired Assault.

Offhand
Again, get Boost Attack Rate and Boost Damage. Stat wise, prefer Ability and Damage.

Armor
Nothing special, just get him as much armor as possible.

Accessories
Get as high mana regen as you can get. Do not use the MP Restore (Mana) since you will usually be fighting ranged. HP regen is also useful.

Runes
Warrior Monk: Increases your and other heroes' Critical Chance and Critical Bonus. Very useful.
Mystical Repair: Useful, bot not needed.

Pets
If you want to be a support monk, use a Propeller Cat, otherwise some Giraffe. A similar setup as with the Squire and the Mista Mine is also possible - just activate hero boost.

Examples
  • Vitality: 5964
  • Attack: 4685
  • Ability: 6377
  • Health: 641.4k
  • Weapon DPS: 436.9k
Summoner
NOTE - Same as with the monk, I haven't really used the Summoner for DPS, thus the pets he uses are not "great". Same goes for the stats.
Since the Summoner doesn't use weapons, Pets will be his main source of damage. You will either want to use Lil' Bomber duo or a Monkey King duo.

Stats
Aim for 600k health. When you have this much, prioritize attack.

Offhand
The Summoner can complete a weapon set with only the tome, so pick a good one with high stats. A good set is Inspired Assault. Bonuses don't really matter, but mana drain is good to have.

Armor
Same as others - doesn't need to be something fancy, just reach 25% rifted armor and you're good.

Accessories
Get as much mana regen as you can - normal one, not the builder mana one. Then try to have some health regen or movement speed.

Runes
Pet Master: Useful if you are playing with more people, but not really important.
Flash Buff: Can be used for temporary defense buffs, but not needed.

Pets
There are only two good pets worth using - Lil' Bomber and Monkey King. Always have two of the same pet.
Monkey King - Try to get as high DPS as possible, with good side stats (around 1500 is ok). Get close to the boss and jump/hover around him and try not to get hit. Activate pet boost when the damage stacking is almost at maximum if you know the boost can't last long.
Lil' Bomber - The ultimate trash mob cleaner. It has great AoE, great range and shoots three projectiles. Damage also isn't bad. When fighting the boss, try to stay in medium range from him, but it's possible some projectiles still won't shoot at him.

Examples
  • Vitality: 4062
  • Attack: 4111
  • Ability: 4134
  • Hero Health: 440k
  • Monkey King DPS: 1.423M
  • Lil' Bomber 1 DPS: 506.7k
  • Lil' Bomber 2 DPS: 1.375M

Monkey King - The other pet is a Giraffe, because I don't have two of them.

Twin Lil' Bomber
EV-A
The main source of damage for an EV-A is the Energy Canon ability. Since EV-A is squishy, you will need to make sure not to get hit. This build benefits from the Guardian's Empowering Shrine.

Stats
Since you will need to get quite close to enemies, your HP target should be around 500k. Once you have that, put all your points into attack, since Energy Canon damage seems to scale better off of this than off of ability. You should be able to get around 3k ability without focusing on it.

Primary Weapon
The only option here is the Protean Blaster from The Throne Room (Goblin Mech). You are looking for as high damage per hit as you can find (NOT DPS). Put all upgrades into weapon damage.

Secondary Weapon
Really anything goes, just aim for the highest stats possible.

Weapon Set
You will need the Protean Canon Mk II set bonus. You can do without it, but the 200% damage boost will triple your damage.

Armor
Anything goes, but be sure to use an arcanist helmet for that bonus armor.

Accessories
You will need a high mana regen as that's what you need to keep the Energy Canon running. HP regen is of course useful and movement speed is also not half bad since you need to move fast.

Runes
None of the runes are vitally important.
Immobilizing Ray: Makes the Energy Canon apply a small slow on enemies.
Decoy-GR: Your decoy now also shoots in the same direction as you, with higher damage than you at higher rune ranks. Since you don't usually want to shoot your primary attack this is something you won't use.

Pet
Use a Propeller cat. Nothing else goes.

Examples
NOTE: I am NOT using the Protean Canon Mk II set! The damage you see could potentially be triple the values shown here.
  • Vitality: 4506
  • Attack: 6322
  • Ability: 3552
  • Health: 513.5k
  • Weapon damage per-hit: 760.1k

Damage without the Empowering Shrine

Damage boosted with the Empowering Shrine
Huntress
Huntress is a glass cannon ranged damage dealer. She doesn't get much health, but more than makes up for it with her massive single-target DPS. As such she is ideal for bosses and hunting special enemies, but not that great at clearing fodder enemies. There are two possible builds for the Huntress, one focusing on using her special ability, Phoenix Shot, while the other one focuses on dealing damage through her primary attack. These will be referred to as Phoenix Shot Build and Rapid Fire Build, respectively.
The Huntress also greatly benefits from an Empowering Shrine, which could increase her damage by roughly a half.

Stats
While health isn't really important for the Huntress since you will get basically one-shot by anything that hits you regardless of your health, having at least 250k is advisable to survive a hit or two from goblins. Then distribute your points according to the build you want to use:

Phoenix Shot Build: Try to maintain a rough ration of 1:1 on Ability and Attack. Ability is slightly more important, but keeping Attack close to it seems to give better results.

Rapid Fire Build: Put all your points into Attack. You should be able to get about 3k Ability through your equipment alone. More is not needed.

Weapon
Weapon choice and required set depends on the build you want to take. For both builds, put all upgrades into weapon damage and try to get some nice bonuses, like bonus Attack or Ability,

Phoenix Shot Build: The weapon you want is the Protean Blaster from the Throne Room. Get as high damage per hit as you can. The set you want is Flock of Searing Gulls. This will make the Huntress shoot three phoenixes instead of just one, thus tripling your damage.

Rapid Fire Build: You will need either the Wolfsbane Sniper from the Keep or the Chimera Shot from Alchemical Labs. DPS and rate of fire matters here. The set you want is Etherian Marksman, but Inspired Assault will also do.

Offhand
As long as the offhand set corresponds to the weapon set you need, anything should be fine. Try to get all three stats, and also Boost Attack Rate and Boost Attack Damage bonuses.

Armor
Get her an Arcanist Helm and three fusion pieces and you're good to go.

Accessories
You will want to get as high mana regen as possible (at least +10). Mana restore is not really useful since you will want to be as far as possible from enemies. Movement speed is also useful, especially for the Phoenix Shot Build.

Runes
Focus Fire: Both builds are entirely dependent on this rune. This makes you deal more damage to a target you are continuously hitting. Once you hit some other enemy or three seconds pass without you hitting the enemy the stacking is reset. This is what makes the Huntress such an amazing boss killer.

Chance Grenade: With the poor scaling the secondary attack has, it would be a feat just to kill an enemy with it, Not useful and can be skipped.

Pets
You will definitely want a Propeller Cat for you Huntress. If you know someone else whom you will be close to has a cat, you can switch to a Giraffe or a Genie if you have trouble keeping your MP filled.

Examples
I am using a maxed out Propeller Cat (159.84% damage boost) on both damage examples. The damage shown is after stacking the damage to maximum.

Phoenix Shot Build
  • Vitality: 5032
  • Attack: 5387
  • Ability: 4941
  • Health: 351.6k
  • Weapon Damage per-hit: 628.8k
  • Weapon Set: Etherian Marksman
  • Focus Fire rank: 6/8 (Mythical)

Note - I do not have even a remotely good Flock of Searing Gulls weapon, therefore I am using the Etherian Marksman set. If I did have the FoSG set this damage would be roughly 3B - 3.6B

Rapid Fire Build
  • Vitality: 5298
  • Attack: 7006
  • Ability: 3619
  • Health: 367.5k
  • Weapon DPS: 1.453M
  • Weapon Set: Etherian Marksman
  • Focus Fire rank: 6/8 (Mythical)

General Boss Strategy
Phoenix Shot Build: Activate Adrenaline Rush and build up your damage stacks while keeping at a distance from the boss. Once you're sure the damage stack is at it's maximum, rush to the boss, activate Phoenix Shot and get back ASAP. Wait for the skill to cool down while continuously shooting the boss. Once the skill is ready repeat this process until the boss is dead.
Good Targets: Demon Lord, Ancient Dragon, Lycan King
Neutral Targets: Dune Eater
Bad Targets: Goblin Mech

Rapid Fire Build: Firstly, pick a place where you are safe but have a clear view at the place the boss will appear at. Make sure it's not too far to make aiming harder but don't get too close so the boss or other enemies don't accidentally hit you. When you have such a place, just activate Adrenaline Rush and continuously shoot at the boss. If you accidentally hit a different enemy it's not a big deal since the rate of fire of your weapon will quickly stack the damage to the maximum extent.
Good Targets: Goblin Mech, Ancient Dragon, Lycan King
Neutral Targets: Demon Lord, Dune Eater
