Yes!
You need +50 Corruption to see it , either get broken statue as relic or just add cards with Corruption stat or farm corruption on boss stages or as you're about to start your run you can add starting corruption at the top right of the screen

Does anyone know how to unlock the light spirit needed for some of these ascensions? I've never seen it before

Not sure if things have changed since your comment on Apr 3rd, since I’m unfamiliar with previous versions of the game, but you can get evolutions in the same run that you unlock them now. No need to wait until the next run to mess with your new toys.

Lets say you want Evolve bow to explosive bow.
If you have never upgraded bow to level 8 before if you do unlock the evolution on that run it won be available until you leave game or complete the run.
So the Evolution will only be available the next run. Never on the same run that you unlock it.

And then of course to evolve them on the nexts runs you have to meet the criteria of having the passives at X level or have X amount of purity for example.

What is actually mean "to make something spawn on your runs"? I've evolved some weapons but it still doesn't drop by its own.
