HexTopia 4K Tropical Theme

Welcome to tropical paradise! Just as it is shown in your dreams: light sand, bright green grass and blue ocean. Place to spend your vacation and stay forever.


Most textures have 4K resolution, so everything looks clear even with a camera zoom in. Alpha channels have also been created for all natural textures to ensure a perfect transition between different surfaces.

• Dark roads.
  
• Hexagonal paving tiles.
  
• Fertile soil has strips for imitation of beds.
  
• The ore texture can be used to «draw» dirt.

It is about the fact that from a long distance it is usually noticeable that the grass or mountains are seen as repeated square patterns. So, in this theme the tiling effect is practically absent! The author made a lot of efforts to ensure that all the textures were not only detailed then camera zoom in, but also remained natural and interesting when viewed from a distance.


In order to achieve a picture as in screenshots, the following mods were used:
Relight – for additional color and contrast adjustment.
Render It! – for changing lighting, shadows and sharpness of textures.
AD Cloud Replacer + 8K AD Clouds Pack 01 – for clouds.

To integrate the theme into cities already started, you can use Environment Changer (+ Improved Theme Selection ). Or Theme Mixer 2.5, which also allows you to change individual textures (for example, if you find the hexagonal pavement tiles too fancy).


The theme was developed with an eye on RelightAverage. This is a fairly universal color correction, so if you want to give your city a unique style, you can use other LUTs. Examples of several popular schemes Cleyra - Color Correction, Nemesis LUT, Coastal LUT and Realistic LUT V1.2 are shown in a separate screenshot.


The theme was created for the map HexTopia. Most screenshots were made on this map to illustrate «HexTopia 4K Tropical Theme».

Due to the fact that the map was created quite a long time ago (really two years have passed!) some screenshots on the map page contain examples with the original Monte Belo theme.

These magnificent works were a source of inspiration (and I must confess, a source of envy). Some technical ideas I got from these authors for which I am eternally grateful.
