Artifact Manager

Description
Artifact Manager

This is a combination of some artifact-related mods I’ve been playing with.
The mod list is getting a little too long, so I decided to combine some of
them in one mod.

Some features were inspired by other existing mods, and some are just the
mod embedded (if they’re small enough).

So far, here are the mods I’ve combined:

  1. Clear Artifact Levels
  2. Court Artifacts in Inventory
  3. Distribute Artifacts (note: only on default list view)
  4. Auction Off Artifact
  5. Edit Artifact Description

Extra credits and thanks to the following:

  • JmBl - Custom artwork, and testing.
  • Krumps - Spanish localization.
  • Dillo - German localization.
  • Crony - French localization, loc cleanup, and testing.

To The Original Authors
All of the content are their authors’ property, and I was just trying to
reduce the clutter in my mod list, and my UI. Ping me if this isn’t
something you’d like available, and I’ll take it down.

FEATURES:

Note: All the extra features are disabled in the game rules by default.

  • Game rules to adjust costs of combine and upgrade operations.
  • Combine artifacts gamerule to change cooldown.
  • Auto-repair and auto-sell added.
  • Added game rules for stuff.
  • Integrated edit artifact description mod.
  • Mass distribute artifacts with minimal clicks.
  • Repair ALL with one click.
  • Sell ALL unused with one click.
  • Combine and Upgrade artifacts game rules.
  • Upgrading artifacts in-place.

Upgrade mechanics is straightforward, and simplistic. You can control this with the Upgrade game rule, which you can disable.
All it does is max out all the existing modifiers, and make the artifact illustrious. You cannot upgrade relics, or anything
else with already maxed out modifiers. The upgrade cost depends on what rarity is the starting point, which are the following:
  • Illustrious = 1000g
  • Famed = 2200g
  • Masterwork = 3300g
  • Common = 5000g

Combining Artifacts

Combining artifacts is now a thing. There’s an extra tab, and two extra buttons. As this is quite a powerful ability, you need to have an Antiquarian with Excellent aptitude in order for the extra buttons to actually be useable.

In order to use it, you need to do the following:
  • Select a primary artifact.
  • Select a secondary artifact that’s not also the primary.
  • Go to the advanced actions, and you should have another button.
  • Click and lose lots of gold!

Another caveat is that the secondary artifact's requirements, if any, will NOT be merged into the resulting artifact. This is a good way to make use of artifacts you can't use for various reasons (required religion, culture, etc) just by merging it into another artifact with no requirement. This isn't something I did -- it is part of the base game artifact merging mechanics.

Now for the cost, which would need feedback. The cost scales on the quality of both artifacts individually. The resulting artifact will be the the next quality up OF THE PRIMARY artifact! This might be an important detail since the cost are different depending. Here’re the current values:

Quality
Cost for primary
Cost for secondary
Illustrious
6500
4000
Famed
5000
3000
Masterwork
4500
2000
Common
2000
1000

And yes, these two values are added together! Watch out! Furthermore, you can
only do this once every 5 years. Might make that a game rule as well. Open
to suggestions.

FILTERS for bulk operations are available. You can filter whom to give it to, and what quality to give.
(IGNORE the Dynasty option — didn’t work and was replaced with Close Family option instead)

@Unstalbe Energy:
As long as the mod/TC doesn't change window_inventory.gui, there's a very high likelihood it would be compatible. I do not, however, play TCs, so I can't attest to your specific one.

idk if this mod is causing this but it's the only one affecting artifacts. so when I decide to hold a coronation it appears that I can only use the lowest options possible as if I dont have a crown regalia (which I actually do have). :steamsad:

@Amergin - they are controlled by game rules. You might have forgotten to enable them, they default to disabled if your game rules were reset.

I have no "Vanity Room", "Library", "Armory" tabs, but I had these tabs before the patch.
Is it OK?

Thank you for updating

@Belisario - I have not actually tried that. But in my experience with other artifacts with special properties, they DO retain the effects as long as they're the primary artifact in the combination operation. I recommend saving before trying though.

Out of curiosity, what happens if you combine the artifact "Tome of the Double Moon"? Do you still have the option to upgrade it if you are the Violet Poet?
