Even with all those mechanics explained, the game is mostly based on chance then. There's no strategy: Hack at the begin of each wave, and hack again before end of previous hack until your tool malfunction. In the meanwhile, always make sidesteps for escaping the maximum amount of enemy shots and destroy each and everyone of them with saber, starting with hacked robots. The end.
With this sole strategy, I aced the Wanderer twice (the first one at the first level) thanks to his fast movements. Wired? I don't get higher than wave 3, wohoo... The other roles? Didn't aced either.
Nice to hear that GarnetSnatcher, there are people complaining that is impossible to beat wave 3 on some reviews.
