A simple mod that makes the items added from Royalty minifiable

Makes item added from Royalty minifiable. I’ve ran into issues with mods that will minify everything in the game. Sometimes they cause major issues like breaking ship parts when used alongside SOS2. So for me this is a way around that, but also to pick/choose what is and isn’t minified.

Active items like condition causers, low shield generator and some junk were not minified

Requires Royalty

May not play well with other mods that minify everything. I quickly tested with some other minify projects I am working on and ran into no issues.

NON STEAM versions of all my mods can be downloaded from my discord
Safe to add to existing saves but if you want to remove the mod then remove all Biotech minified structures first that were added by this mod

for non-existing buildings from mods use MinifyEverything
with Smart Minify to customize the weight and add the item to the inventory categories. It also allows you to remove and add buildings, as in MinifyEverything , by default walls, doors and two dozen other things are not minifiable.

Okay good to know
I thought every mod was loaded into ram and only then processed one by one
thats why 1k+ modlists need super huge amounts of ram for the loading to even begin

or at least thats what I thought
if it aint so Ill go back to subribing to all the small ones

generally having this mod in 4 parts or all in one wouldnt lead to any additional bloat, as they arent overwriting one another in any way and would likely have nearly the exact same contents in their files either way.

Thank you once again ^^
I am just curious if there is any benefit other then ease of install/ management to the "all in one" mods I see

I am just worried that all my super tiny mods will bloat my RW more then one giant mod that compiles funtionality (even tho they tend to be an amalgamation of "stolen" mods more often then not)

@Narlindir I definitely could make one that includes all the DLC after I've finished doing vanilla so you're only subscribing to one mod. I chose to have them separate initially as some people may only have 1 or two of the DLC's and they might only want xxx content minfied.

I see
Than you for your concise answer!
would there be any benefit to you doing a "all in one" version that includes all dlc?

@Narlindir Minify Everything well minifies everything. This just minifies content from Royalty DLC and the others for XXX DLC as mentioned in the description. Some items added by mods like SOS2 were never designed to be minified like their heatsinks, hull tiles etc. And minifying them breaks things.

Is this funtionally any different from "minify everything"?

Minifying can be applied to any and all mod and vanilla items if you use Cherry Picker, Mods like this just automate a lot of tedium of going through the big lists of items and finding each and every thing you want to minify. These save a lot of time and add convenience, but Cherry Picker prevents the need for so many patches and the like.

Look, this is amazing.. Minify everything has always been a must even if it messes with some stuff.. So when you are done with minify vanilla, Ill do a switch instantly and try them out.. (I play as a nomad like..90% of the time, so I cant go without minifying some stuff) but.. Please consider this:

Minify that: A minify for mods, that lets the player choose what the think should be minifiable or not... We can balance it ourselves and fix weird interactions that could occur by just disabling that thing that we added to the minifiable list.. This could be done with a designator on the orders menu, like a "Minify that" button, which makes a colonist go and minify that... And add it to the list so that from now on, youve got the usual minify buttong on that def..

Id love this, please save me from minify everything <3
